normal, normally when i play at this time, there was at least 50k
It’s a school/work day. Seems normal to me.
Yesterday afternoon when I was online (sick day) there was about 40k online
It’s 14:00 on Thursday where I am…
Jobs, School, College, Social Life. You name it. No games population is high during the day. When you get to the evenings, it’s a different story.
Why would you want to play this game?

Why would you not?

As a Halo player for many years I find this statement a load of rubbish. On weekdays in Halo 3 and Reach there were WAY more online, it was NEVER this low until obviously the next game came out and people migrated. People will come up with excuse after excuse to try and defend this game. I am not hating on it, just pointing out the fact that this game has the lowest population of them all and it seems to be decreasing more rapidly as the weeks go by.

Uhm, this post is early in the morning for all Americans, along with pretty much everyone else on this side of the world.

My post still stands, I played tons in the 3 and Reach days and it was never this low at this time. Europe is up and about while you Americans wake up and there are/were a ton of EU players.
The large majority of people who have been with this series since the beginning are at least 8 years older than they were when Halo was at it’s pinnacle of popularity. Life changes a lot in 8-10 years, as do priorities.

Halo: Reach showed all players online, Halo 3 showed Unique Users within 24 hours, Halo 4 shows matchmaking only.

Everybody knows these things exist, and understands the effect they have on a game’s population. The problem is in the 11k number. If you were to tell me it’s a weekday morning and there were only 100k people online, whereas the population normally sits at around 250k on the weekend, I’d be like “Jobs, school, college, social life. You name it.” But when the number is 11k, you have to say “Jobs, school, college, social life. You name it. Oh, and the vast majority of Halo fans hate this game.”
> the vast majority of Halo fans hate this game."
Because Halo 4 is not as good as it should have been.

Sign outside my office should read “Gone Halo-ing”
Well Skyrim DLC did come out not too long ago, so…
because there’s no replay value. it’s just grind.
> because there’s no replay value. it’s just grind.
Depends on your perspective. I enjoy the game thoroughly. I don’t need incentive to play a game I enjoy. Even without ranks, exp, and unlockables, I would still enjoy playing.
It is currently 8 a.m. West Coast time and 11 a.m. for me right now. The fact is, people in America right now are either:
- At work.
- Have obligations outside of gaming.
- Are in school/college/university, and yes, there is a difference in the U.S…
- Do not want to turn on their xbox’s right now.
Or other reasons. As for the people who are saying this game is bad, its all perspective, and truthfully speaking, the game itself is enjoyable for every person who does play it, so your statements are wrong.
