Sounds logical, Elites and Brutes are enemies, also we have never see before jackals or brutes fighting in a Spaceship. Remember Pillar of Autumn and Cairo station. No jackals at all…
The Elites are probably still trying to kill most of the Brutes so I doubt they’re involved; and the Jackals are in some concept art so its likely that they’re around.
The whole first level seems to be a nostalgia trip of the Pillar of Autumn level from Combat Evolved, right down to the enemies.
I can’t see brutes being involved at all. The only Jiralhanae left within the Sanghelli “ranks” so to speak are servants who can’t go back to their packs (Glasslands), and this is directly after the events in Halo 3.
Halo 4 is set 4 years AFTER Halo 3 so I would imagine the Jiralhanae and the Sanghelli are either fighting each other or avoiding each other.
Also, the way the “hinge heads” speak about the Kig-Yar would lead me to believe they are not to be trusted; so I wouldn’t imagine a great presence from them in Halo 4… a few possibly but not loads.
The image posted earlier is only concept art too… it’s not forced to be Kig-Yar!
Jackals are born pirates. That’s why their leaders don’t let them to fight on a ship. (Seriously, that’s the canon answer! I’m not joking!)

They’re not the same old covenant. They’re rogue elites that think the Arbiter is a heretic. Possibly Servants of Abiding Truth.

I know they are mercenaries. I’ve read the novels too
