Jackals&drones out of jobs What will happen next??

The jackals and the drones are now out of jobs after the covenant fell and none where accepted into the banished… Now what will happen to them? Personally I’d love to see a kig Yar mistress take the reigns and put together a fleet of kig Yar grunts and drones. But it could also turn out that Cortana makes the jackals her personal assassin’s or a different band of brutes requests their services, just wanted to know y’all’s thoughts on this.

The Jackals are still around and fighting.

The Skirmishers are the ones that are, well missing if you’re talking about them. But I’m assuming you’re not.

Over all, I’m hoping to see every species that’s ever been in Halo return in Halo 6.

Jackals have always been fighting I’m just wondering what’s going on with them now that they’re not affiliated with any of the hi factions…

The Kig-Yar pretty much returned to what they did before they were working for the Covenant. Being pirates, mercenaries, and traders while maintaining a mostly stable and growing society. Some Yanme’e served in the various remnant factions of the Covenant, but most returned to their home system and attempted to keep to themselves and avoid getting involved with any galactic affairs.

Didn’t the Skirmishers almost become extinct after the fall of Reach?

Yes they are nearly all gone. Unfortunate as I quite liked them.

I think it’s time to do some Google Research… I didn’t know they were nearly extinct.

“They saw extensive action during the Fall of Reach, and as a result of the catastrophically high casualties, the Skirmisher ranks were utterly exhausted and the Skirmishers themselves were nearly wiped out” - http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/T’vaoanDang.

They can also run 45 miles an hour… Holy crap.

I personally would love to see Kig-Yar rise up in power. Even the Covenant knew how powerful they could be that’s why they never gave them control of ships with slipspace drives.

Some people have a theory that the black Jackals in Halo: CE were Skirmishers, too.

I could take or leave the Drones. But I certainly hope they find a place for the Jackals in Halo 6, whether they join with the Banished after HW2, join the Created (Cortana probably pays pretty well), as part of Covenant Remnant group #561243491237 (you know they’ll still be back somehow), or even as their own completely independent faction… it wouldn’t be a Halo campaign without me cursing at my inability to knock their damn shield out of the way.

I would love to see a Kig-Yar pirate faction in halo 6.

Chol’ Von should be a leader in HW2 since female kig yar tend to be pirate leaders

That was retconned.

Thanks for clarification.

Just FYI, in this case it didn’t matter but generally Halopedia.com is far better than the Halo wiki
