If you look close enough in the distance, you can notice the jackal’s shields.
Better be able to pick up their shields to give yourself more protection.
Jackals, not jackels. Out of all the enemies, they were one of the easiest ones to guess I believe.
Banshees were also confirmed from another concept image.

Well, we have Elites and Grunts in-game, I doubt Jackals are that far-fetched.

Maybe they’ve been working out… I dunno. But that shield cannot be confused by anything other than a jackal.

I would imagine that most former-Covenant species will make a return. San 'Shyuum a bit unlikely though considering their near-extinction on High Charity. I’d definitely love to see the Jiralhanae act like the beasts they are and not the civilized officers they poorly acted as since Halo 3. 
Kind of disappointed in my self for not noticing such an obvious thing my self.
Being able to pick up their shield would be freaking awesome. Get a sword and shield, now your playing Halo: Skyrim addition. Sure there’s no duel-wield but an exception can be made for this.

Maybe another species has stolen their technology. It definitely looks like an Elite or something of the sort to me anyway.
