So with Cortana attempting to take over the galaxy, and Grunts already siding with her, I was wondering what other species would join with her? Brutes might and may have already if the Banished are linked to the Created. I believe it was Halo Canon who mentioned it, that the Jackals would most likely not want to be ruled by the Created due to their raiding/pirate nature. Additionally if the Banished are working with the Created, the fact that there are no jackals in their ranks is rather interesting.
I think it would be interesting to work alongside Jackals, especially given how much help the UNSC-SOS might need to fight the Created. It’s not a new thing either, as jackals were working (sort of) with humans on the Rubble. And since they now have talking roles since Halo 5 and Hunt The Truth, it would work out well for gameplay because we could understand them.
Additionally, I wonder how races like the Drones, Engineers, Hunters and the Sharquoi would react to the Created rule. I hope that 343 really plays with this and we can see how these different civilizations react.

I dont believe we know exactly what the Banished roles in the Halo Universe is at the moment. They could easily pull what they did during the covenant wars and fight both the UNSC and the created, we have to see with HW2
They will ally with whoever pays them more.
