My theory about the return of the gravity hammer and no brutes in campaign is that during the campaign you will find a jackal weapon cash some where in halo 4. The jackals have a pirate like culture and in the past they have been known to hoard weapons from many different races.
I think this would be a good explanation of the gravity hammer and no brutes as well as a chance to show of the jackals true nature in game.
That sounds like a valid reason to me
I wish they had stashed some incendiary and spike grenades too.
Your logic is sound to me.
> I wish they had stashed some incendiary and spike grenades too.
Master Chief “Bring the goods?”
Jackal “You know it”
Next scene shows a Brute Chopper tearing through the Covenant

This sounds like a could be cut scene for H4
Your thinking of skirmishers more then jackals. Shield and sniper jackals aren’t really pirates. But we get what you meant…
All in all, I agree with the logic… if only to have the mental image of brutes chasing down a bunch of skirmishers scared out of their minds after they managed to steal a gravity hammer from a chieftain…

Lmfao,The price on the market for the hammers are too high to pass up.And are you sure? There has been Jackal pirtaes before Skirmishers.
this would also be a good way to give the player human weapons when the bulk of the unsc forces aren’t around to resupply you
the possibilities of jackal weapon cashes are endless
The jackals also now look the part to wield such a big and mean weapon.
Jackals… carrying Gravity hammers? HAHAHA. They’re way too heavy.
it would be scary to see jackal rangers flying at you from the sky with gravity hammers
> it would be scary to see jackal rangers flying at you from the sky with gravity hammers
Legendary Jackal’s with Hammers>Legendary Crawler Snipe’s
Personally, I think it would be cool if Jackal Heavies would pick up the hammer and kind of charge you. I know they are frail but that would only add to the sheer joy of seeing it run flailing that thing around.

Actually I’m pretty sure the gravity hammers were captured by Elites after a battle with brutes, http://www.halopedia.org/images/3/38/Schism_4.png

While that would be awesome, I’m pretty sure it would lose its luster after you put 4 bullets into its chest and kill it. Also I don’t think Jackals have the strenght to lift a gravity hammer, a strong human can’t and it seems like its pretty heavy for Master Chief. So I doubt a Jackal could do it.
Sorry for being such a buzzkill.

*3 Jackals carrying Gravity Hammer to location
Jackal 1: Don’t you dare drop it.
Jackal 2: It’s sooo heavy.
Jackal 3: That’s why there’s 3 of us carrying it.
*Jackal 2 drops Gravity Hammer
*Gravity Hammer activates
*All 3 Jackals go flying
*Jackals 1 and 3 get up, and eat Jackal 2
> Jackals… carrying Gravity hammers? HAHAHA. They’re way too heavy.
You can’t deny how awesome that would be. Imagine a Jackal performing ridiculous jumps by swinging its grav hammer at the ground and letting the shockwave send them flying. We’ve got to do something unique with that new “Jackal Heavy” class.

Do you have any idea how heavy those Jackal shields are?
No Brutes in campaign? Why are we assuming this?
They really go out of their way in Glasslands to mention Brutes serving Elites. Unless someone at 343i specifically contradicts there being any Brutes I think they are all but confirmed.
