I was playing through several games with my friends over the break, and I noticed that, for the classic halo games, the jackals were all left handed. Then in reach, bungie switched them over to right handed, with 343 following suit in its subsequent games.
I saw this as a relatively unnecessary and pointless change, but since I don’t follow the halo lore very closely, I wanted to know if there’s an explanation for this. Does anything in or out of the games discuss it?
I think there was a talk about it at the time. I don’t remember if Bungies gave aa reason but I’m guessing they just fully remade the jackal and the gamedesigner just happened to put shield in the other hand.

Maybe they were born differently or trained in that manor. Who knows lol
