Can these please be improved they’re so useless and anyone in onyx or higher knows it. Why cant they be far better at killing Rush infantry (flamers and brute hammers) as it stands there’s never a reason to ever build more then 1.
I totally understand at one point they were very strong, but they’re in such a bad place right now, that they’re in desperate needs of some love!

Ive tried a few games to try and make them work in any type of way and theres just no spot for them, you’re better off making anything else to counter rush units cheaper and more effective

I have to agree, Their not as strong as Choppers for sure.
JR’s NEED their upgrade otherwise their not gonna do much at all and they’ll die from like 1 Grenade without it.
Chopppers don’t even need their upgrade to wipe Flamers yet JRs do

I agree with the fact they need a buff, choppers are WAY better and their supposed to serve the same purpose. However, despite them being weak overall they’re still scout units that can do their job. But going back to that first point, the jackrabbit should have some sort of boost to dps versus rushing infantry but counteract that by lowering their dps to buildings to make it so they can’t be massed and rushed.

yeah exactly not asking for anytype of building damage, they just need some sort of role, they’re just bad at everything.

I would love to know what jacks rabbit you use, because the ones i use do a terrible job and you have to invest so much money into them for them to stop it. Plus all they need to do is land one or two stuns and you can lose half your JR

Just to clarify can JRs stop a brute rush yes… Are they effective far from it! Flamers, marines sniper do far better

Atriox brutes annihilate JRs. If you micro the jumps so you dont jump them all at the same time and then when you catch them in the drop mines or landing stun you drop plasma mines on them- goodnight. Vordius goo to slow them and make sure you land the jumps and infusion mine works too. Currently equal pop JR’s to jump brutes isnt too pretty for the JR’s which is stupid considering they’re meant to counter them and they get torn apart by early game banished leader powers.

You can get stunned, but you’re not going to lose “half” of them unless they have more of a mixed composition rather than just straight jump brutes. And in that situation, you have to counter a mixed comp with a mixed comp.

Atriox’s brutes are special in that they are broken. They don’t even have to land on you to stun you. That is being looked in to, and will hopefully be fixed next patch.

Vori’s goo can be annoying, but with the recent nerfs I really don’t see it doing too much. Not only that, but good luck finding someone who plays Vori.

Homestly, most banished leaders have something hurts JRs enough so that jump brutes will trade with them, whilst no T1 or T2 unsc leader powers can really touch jump brutes. This is a problem since they’re meant to be a direct counter.

That’s why I told Miz that you can’t go straight JRs vs JBPs and Mine Grunts. JRs and Flamers would perform better against that comp. Whenever I go JRs I always preemptively build my hero as well to deal with core infantry before they can get upgraded and ravage the JRs. It works quite well.

They are getting some more love in the next balance update vs. rush infantry.

The lack of Jackrabbit use is actually a metaphor for Jackrabbits in the 1930s. Where back then (Halo Wars 2 launch), there were millions of Jackrabbits in the Dust Bowl. However, people started to hunt/eat them (the nerfs) due to the fact that the rabbits ate every crop (JRs being OP at launch). Thus, these nerfs are symbolic, and eventually the Jack Rabbits will be stabilized.

The same goes for ghosts. They’re better than JR’s, but they can’t handle rushes for -Yoink- either.

Scout balance is always fun.

I feel like ghosts can handle rush units pretty well. Especially with ghost shields.

Can their splash be reinstated? Or will that make them too powerful again? Is there any way to play with falloff damage radius like with AA missiles?

Can we get a special UNSC Scout vehicle, The WASP!?

Would be cool to implement a flying scout

It needs careful balance… hopefully if there is a splash, it still only gets beefed up against rush infantry (including flamers). Any other damage increase will run the risk of the Redline JR issue.

I remember when jack rabbit rush was a thing.
