I know this is a broken game and what not but I have just finished my 100th attempt at getting this skull to spawn and nothing still. Is this a glitch in the game or am I just that unlucky? I don’t know if I should even still attempt to get it.
I have collected all the skulls in all the availiable campaigns so no, the skull is not broken ur just doing it wrong or u are having a huge ammount of bad luck.
Pretty hard to do wrong. In the end it should basically be a 1/7 chance
I’ve collected both IWHBYD skulls, so it’s either something you’re doing or you just have bad luck.

For some odd reason some skulls on HALO 3 for me would not spawn unless i changed the difficulty to normal and above, starting from checkpoints also makes it where the skull will not spawn. Hope that helps.
for halo 3 you most play on normal or harder to get it and also it took me also what try’s to get finnely.
for halo 2 i have done it on legendary mode but with that its really tricky to get it you need really good luck to get it took me hours from trying to get it finnely. also you can use this guide movie for the skull in halo 2 it has help me really much with it Halo 2 Anniversary SKULL Guide - All Halo 2 Skull Locations (Trophy Collector Achievement) - YouTube
luck and many try’s is the only thing you need for this type skulls to get it.
You need 7 or 8 checkpoints i did it my 7th try

Some skulls spawn on easy but they mostly are meant for normal
If the short sequence isn’t working for you, try the original long sequence. I was having the same problem. it’s tedious, but the long sequence worked for me.
