Regardless to if it’s true or not, did anyone else think Firefight would simply be a standard feature in Halo games going forward? I guess I always just assumed it had become an important enough aspect of Halo like Forge and Theater did in Halo 3. I was hoping we’d get a more ODST-like approach to Firefight in Halo 4, but it seems they decided to scrap it entirely in favor of Sparton Ops (which admittedly sounds awesome).
I know there are other more “important” issues about Halo 4 that people are discussing, but I guess I’m just surprised I haven’t seen any outrage about Firefight not returning.

I enjoyed Firefight, no doubt about that. I am sure it will be missed. But I think switching Firefight with Spartan Ops was a good choice. But we’ll see.
with how many missions they say they are going to release for spartan ops(like 5 a week for a couple months is what it is sounding like) there is a high probability that many of them are FF like where you have to withstand waves of incoming enemies. the way i see it all 343i is doing is changing the name the make CoD fanboys want to buy halo 4 more because “it haz spec ops?!?? OMG i gots to play me some halo 4” ALL -Yoink!- care about is money and this will bring in the money
