The title of thos thread is extremelly misleading. You should change it to “on 4k” instead of “in 4k”. I clicked this thinking you attended some event where the 4k version was availiable.
It looks amazing on a 4k tv just being upscaled from 1080p. I can’t wait to see it in native 4k with the One X. I have a One S which plays movies in native 4k, but it only upscales 4k games unlike the One X.

So, are you happy about bumping this silly thread just to point out the obvious? I was just hoping no one would comment and it would die a silent death.
But now that we’re on the topic, it has been possible to play Halo 5 in native 4K for the past year for anyone who owns a capable Windows 10 PC connected to a 4K display, in Halo 5: Forge. Of course, you don’t get campaign, and I have no idea whether the Xbox One X version will introduce higher fidelity assets that weren’t enabled in Halo 5: Forge, but still, Halo 5 in 4K is out there. And based on personal experience, aside from the obvious increase in clarity, the 4K resolution isn’t something that will completely blow your mind. It’s a “nice to have” feature, but I can’t help but feel like it’s being mildly overhyped.

You being a mod i would hope that you are aware that the OP has the option to change the title. Thats what i was going for.

But you only chose to comment on how misleading the title of this thread is, and not at all on the topic at hand, so why bump a thread that nobody had shown interest in in seven hours? It’s not even like the OP wasn’t fully aware of the ramifications of the title.

By saying the title is misleading is a comment itself to the topic at hand. It acknowledges that i read his post and offered a solution as to how to make it less misleading.

Since we’re commenting on comments I feel the need to comment on both of these comments…you’re both right. I wouldn’t and didn’t comment in the first place since, after reading the OP, I realized what was happening. I have stopped asking or recommending that people edit their titles that are either misleading or misspelled. It is my experience that most people just don’t care.
In regards to the OP, I will wait to get this if I even do. I hate to admit it, but depending on how things play out with Halo I might be chucking the whole Xbox thing in general, and going PC.

Using the report button would probably have been a better idea

Notifying the OP with a PM would probably have been the best.

Not really. “Bumping” means updating a thread with a new post that doesn’t really contribute to the topic. Typically this is done with the word “bump”, but you can do it with other comments. Like, just pointing out a spelling/grammar error. The difference between what you and tsassi posted is that he went on actually provide his opinion about OP’s intended topic. You did not in your initial reply. Critiquing the topic is separate from the topic itself.
As for Halo in/on 4K: I think the 4K patch combined with the One X will make a significant difference to how the game looks. I think it will be noticeably different that playing current Halo 5 on a 4K tv. For me personally, though, it won’t be enough to get me to reinstall Halo 5. I’ve never found graphics to be all that important in a game. Looks only go so far for me. You can have a fancy looking meal but if it’s not seasoned properly it’ll still be bland.

I would agree the title is click bait-y. But it’s not really misleading, certainly not enough for reporting me yall. I didn’t say native 4k, nor did I mention the X. What I said is technically true

> Yeah I’ve already pre ordered the Xbox one, now I’m questioning how much I really need it…thoughts?
Why would you be questioning it? If you are already so excited by the difference you have in just having a 4K monitor then you would be even more with the XBX. Obvioulsy this is a selling point for you. Not a big deal for me, but my thought for you is to get it.

No one can tell you how much you need it. You’re the only person in the world who knows how much you value graphics.

It is, but there is more to communication than being technically correct. Your primary concern when writing a thread title should be communicating the contents of the thread clearly, not to be as deceitful as possible without being wrong.

I personally doint see the point unless you have to be up to date on tech or need/really enjoy higher resolutions. My eyesight isnt the best so 4k barely makes a difference to me. I can tell its better but not by much and cerrtainly not enough for me to spend $200 more on a X or Pro, i have a ps4 slim also. I cant tell the difference between 720 and 1080 at all so the lower end models work for me.
If i were promised that every game would be 60+fps i would buy one in a heartbeat but since devs are making games with the original One hardware in mind they wont be.
Hey monitors, I hate having to point it out for you, but this thread has derailed majorly from the main topic. I suggest you close it, unless it can be put back on topic.
