This is great. I’m glad people are starting to repopulate Halo Reach. It was the last great Halo game after all. I hope one day, it’ll get repopulated enough to the point it has over 900,000 people playing it again like back then.
What? I’m barely able to find a game in halo reach!

Really? I’ve been finding games really fast in Halo Reach lately. Even faster than Halo 5.

Well, I can find people in very few playlists. Only in like slayer, infection and rumble pit. All other gamemodes seem dead.
It doesn’t take long to find games in Reach, even with the low population, because the skill restrictions are minimal. Which is one of the reasons why you still have a lot of quitting, even though, at the game’s age, it’s population is pretty much down to people who want to be there (as opposed to people who are there just because it’s the new thing or because all their friends are there). Halo 5 could bring search times down to 5 seconds - but you’d end up with onyx matched to golds and platinums matched to silvers, and that isn’t doing anybody any favors. Too few players spread over too wide a skill gap equals quitting. I mean, who really cares how fast the search times are in either game when every match ends with half the players quitting?

Standard and co-op playlists, as well as BTB have people playing. The others are just dead.

Really? I’ve been able to find games fast in just about every playlist aside from like 3.
i cant find games in reach

Look up in the Standard playlist (Slayer, SWAT, Snipers, Infection and Invasion), BTB in the Evolved playlist and the Co-op playlist (Co-op Campaign, Score Attack and Firefight). And stay away from Grifball… I’m warning you.
Most of the objective playlists are dead but in the general non objective playlists you can find games pretty easy
I’ve been noticing more people as well. However, they all flock to a few playlists out of the many we have, and most don’t have the DLC maps. Though just recently I did manage to score a couple matches in Multi-Team on some Anniversary maps. It kinda sucks because they’re all free now, yet people still don’t want to download them. Obviously network usage isn’t much of a problem if they are managing to play online.

Yeah grifball… Last time i played this I got spawn killed and everyone was afk with the ball carrier flying around!

I don’t think the problem is them wanting but not knowing. I’m sure everyone would never refuse to download a DLC that’s free.

Damn, forgot to quote you. Anyway…
The reason they do that is because of the Performance Bonus. The longer the game goes, the higher the amount of credits. Hence the reason why in some YT videos promoting this nonsense, they always receive more than 20000 Cr EVERY game. Since this is considered boosting (exploiting the Performance Bonus), you have all the rights to report anyone doing this. Do it if you dare, but don’t abuse it.
Yeah this is great

One step at a time, right now, slayer, swat, BTB, infection, and coop firefight are fast right now. While we probably won’t see playlists like Reach MLG ever populated again, Reach’s other playlists that used to be popular possibly will be populated again.
I find Reach and MCC to be a great way to pass time between new releases. I’ll likely be playing the two for the next year or so until Halo 6 comes out.

Perhaps. If that’s the case, then 343 should probably send out a new Message of the Day for Reach that let everyone know that the DLC is all free now. They wouldn’t have to update the game or anything.

True, but I don’t think people will read it. Even if there’s a delay to “force” the player to read, they might just ignore it and spam A or B until it’s clear. But it would likely work for many cases. Halo 4 still has that message as to when you launch Halo 4 for the first time in a profile announcing that MCC is now available for Xbox One. Really tells how 343 stopped supporting the 360 games.
Grifball is dead. It’s rare to find a game where players actually kill and score. And even then there are still traitors or afks.
I know that most of the time, in dead matches, players are just boosting for more cR. But sometime, just standing there for several minutes each game gets boring.
I don’t want to be that one player who kills like I’m supposed to either. It would just get me spawn killed by everyone, including my teammates. Can’t win, I guess.
I love Living Dead, though. It’s well populated and enjoyable.
