so please excuse my ignorance but I have a question.
Was there ever a rifle or any type of weapon created by the UNSC that only Spartans were able to use? I’ve been wondering for a while but never got around to asking until now.
Since Spartans are stronger than the average UNSC soldier, it would make sense if there was a much more powerful variant of the Battle Rifle or the DMR that could only be used efficiently by a Spartan.
I don’t think so just given the supply problem of making special weapons in the middle of an extinction war, I thought that the Spartan Laser was a Spartan only weapon, but seeing as ODSTs could use it.

Doesn’t make sense to make a weapon such a limited number of people could use, esp given how much money that had already spent making custom suits for all of them…

They do give them the ultimate weapon: Mjolnir Armor. Spartans are trained to maximize any weapon they can find in the field and pilot any vehicle they could lay their hands on.
I believe that some M6 series handguns and grenades were upsized for Spartans.
That actually makes some sense, as Spartans might have trouble fitting gauntleted fingers through the trigger guard, and designing a larger grip is easier than designing a gun that fires a more powerful round.
The spartans used the same guns as everybody else there was a recent passage or something about them pretty much Raping the armory.

It is called the Spartan laser because it is big, heavy, expensive, and basically dominates everything if you aim correctly and hit what you are aiming at.

I heard the same thing about the M6 handguns as well. Never heard about upsized grenades though…
I can see the handguns being possible. They would be a weapon that Spartans carry on them at all times.

Source for grenade size. The Magnums are upsized 117% for SPARTANs
