Is creating a competitive and fun game really that hard now-a-days? The last game that I can remember playing that had those two qualities was Halo 3, since then I’ve lost hope.
You add unpredictable spawns for power weapons, perks (including jetpack which = no map control), a progression system which gives one person an advantage over the next. Does 343 not know what Halo is? An arena style sandbox game, and that’s all it ever should be, without that you remove any competitive aspects to… well, ANY OF IT.
I’m done with Halo, you had my hopes up 343, you really did, with all your talk about catering to the community. Sure, they’ll get plenty of sales because they’ve caved in to CoD, casual players is where the moneys at. If you defend them you’re apart of what’s destroying everything competitive in video games, and that’s a fact.

I am a true Halo fan, I played Halo 2 for 3 years straight, Halo 3 for 2 years, because I had a reason and purpose to play them. If it were Bungie I would be a little more forgiving, but 343i is just a microsoft drone to leach what little money is left from the Halo series.
I agree that Halo should never have a progression system. It’s just not what the game is based on. It has always been and should always remain that everyone has the same options when they spawn in. The guys with 1000 hours of play in, shouldn’t have any advantage over a new purchase player other than skill.
Perks are so-so in my book, we had them in Reach, and we’ve learnt they CAN work. Doesn’t mean I have to love them.
No one here is being stupid a bit over dramatic maybe but not stupid. OP I can see your concerns but right now its far too early to give up hope. Wait until we get more, something substantial, a beta maybe. Honestly this forum is looking at about a minute of gameplay and jumping to conclusions. every one just needs to chill the frak out. You are by no means an idiot good sir but you have to admit you are making some pretty bold claims based off 1 vid.
