Of the game. Of the lack of communication between the developers and the ‘fans’, and most of all of this so called ‘community’.
You monkeys defend overpowered weapons because, yep, you guessed it, you can’t get kills with any other weapon. Most of you kids who go “Oh the DMR is not overpowered” normally have it as your favourite weapon. Then you tell people like me to “get good” or call us bad, when really, most of the time we’re better than you. You can’t even be bothered to look at OUR statistics, let alone the weapon statistics.
The stupidity of this forum is rather worrying. That’s not flaming, that’s a fact. I’ve had to look after toddlers, 1 year olds, 2 year olds, -Yoink!- children, you name it. And the fact that most of you are 15 - 30 years old and are still bickering, complaining and lying against fact to save that precious little number on your service record is just plain sad.
Also, this forum is meant for feedback. I don’t care how many “DMR/Boltshot is overpowered” threads there are, it’s all meant to collect feedback for the developers to improve the game. It’s a FEEDBACK FORUM.
Then there are the people who don’t even READ the first post of a thread. The tl;dr’s. You’re like those people who get a book, only to flick to the last few pages and say “Finished!”. You have no right to give your thoughts on the subject matter, when you don’t have the first clue on what the subject matter is.
Then there’s you, 343i. I’ve tried and tried and tried again and again to make sense of your decisions, but I just can’t. You tip-toe around the main issues and only fix the little ones that hardly matter. The way you handle the community and the overall game is, essentially, terrible.
Yes, I know this is your first game. But we are being honest with you when we say “It is mediocre compared to other titles”. We’re not going to go easy on you just because this is your first game.
Say I had someone repair some of my hardware. They accidentally get the wires mixed up and the hardware no longer works as intended. I pick it up, and tell them that I am not happy with the way it’s been handled. The guy who attempted to repair it says it was his first time repairing it. It doesn’t matter, you still did a bad job. What makes this even worse is the fact that we paid a lot of our hard-earned money for this, some of us even bought the Limited Ripoff Edition or the Console.
Halo is meant to be one of the biggest FPS series’ on the market. Not a testing ground for you to tinker around with. That’s what a beta test is for, and you refused to make one. It honestly feels like we’re playing a $60.00/£40.00 beta.
I don’t understand how or even WHY you changed things so dramatically to the point where you knew we would hate it. I thought Reach was as bad as it was going to get from a gameplay perspective. Obviously I was wrong.
If this game didn’t have ‘Halo’ on the front cover of it, would you even recognize it as a Halo game? If it didn’t, I would read it as “Call of Duty: Random Sci Fi Warfare IV BETA”.
The population will keep dropping. A few title updates will not bring people back. Especially title updates that ignore the real issues like the god-awful ‘balance’ of this game.
343i, can’t you see that you are wearing our patience thin? I don’t think I’ve ever been so cautious of a game developer in all my life. “We’re investigating this, we’re looking into that” - when is something ACTUALLY GOING TO BE DONE?!
