I've gotten over Sprint..

And you guys should too…

Frankie already said there will be playlists for the “Traditional Halo Fan” as he calls it.

And seeing that they are aware that a good portion of the fanbase wants the original trilogies gameplay in Halo 4, They Will have about 3 playlists for us. One for Core Team Slayer (hopefully ranked). One for Core Big Team Battle (can be ranked or not, would still enjoy it  ). And if we are really lucky we will even get a Core Infecton playlist!

So cmon guys. Plus, we don’t even know how sprint works, but we have a guaranteed safe haven no matter how the outcome of Sprint is.

Okay. One down, another million to go XD

Very true.

The traditional style of Halo will not be abandoned, and we barely know nothing about it, so we shouldn’t be raging now.

A house divided cannot stand. The community appears to be dividing, more than the Reach haters/lovers. If it continues… well, thats something we don’t want to find out. We need to stop now before something new makes it go over the top, and the Halo 4 forum becomes a wasteland.

> One for Core Team Slayer (hopefully ranked). One for Core Big Team Battle (Ranked), and doubles( Ranked)

That is the real list of play list competitive players better get. Infection is not competitive it was fun back in Halo 2 now with all the other crap they have added it’s just a haven for bad players.

Sorry, but one playlist is not enough. We made it very clear we didn’t want sprint, and they just added it for no reason anyway.

It should have been present as a custom game option only. THAT would have made everyone happy, not this b/s of ruining all the maps to design them around sprint, shoving all the hardcore fans into a little corner of MM, and calling it fair. They haven’t even acknowledged the fact that the community is very divided about sprint yet, and they had a full Q/A section of this week’s bulletin. Pure b/s.

Forgot about Doubles. Sorry for my disrespect towards that playlist…

I love doubles dearly. I made a great friend when Halo 3 was the cool thing, and we used to hangout and play doubles together just about every friday night. We won 85% of our game in it  The good, fun days of Halo 3.

They started working on the game in 2009, they (likely) didn’t put it in a few months ago.

I still rather wouldn’t have it in there, because people can use it to run away instead of you getting the kill you deserve.

Hey man, I agree with you!

Who said you only get one playlist? Those who want to play traditional Halo has their own SET of playlists, while those who are more willing to accept the changes get their own set of playlists. Its that simple. I’m sure they will add more once the game releases.

They promised us a classic Halo, not a classic playlist.

Even if we do get a bunch of playlists just for us, the maps are all permanently ruined because they were designed for sprint.

I’m more than likely not going to buy this game just because of sprint. That’s how huge this is. If they don’t change directions with this game, I can’t see Halo living too much longer, and definitely not for 10 more years. There’s just no simplicity in this game anymore. Literally every aspect of gameplay is being dominated by pointless gimmicks.

i think they should include a playlist system like this:

Playlists:

Classic ---------Ranked-------
Team Slayer
Team Swat
Squad Battle
Lone Wolves
Team Snipers
etc.

---------Social-------
Social Slayer
BTB
Rumble Pit
Social Big Team
Fiesta
Grifball
etc.

New ---------Ranked-----------
Team Slayer
Team Swat
Squad Battle
Lone Wolves
Team Snipers
etc.

---------Social-----------
Social Slayer
BTB
Rumble Pit
Social Big Team
Fiesta
Grifball
etc.

The New has AA’s and perks and loadouts, and armor affecting gameplay, but the Classic will not, it will be everyone spawns even and only player skill will affect the gameplay.

It will make it so everyone, whatever kind of Halo gameplay they like, will be able to play the gametype they want, the way they want to play it.

None of this “We are going back to our roots and giving you Classic Halo, but we are adding in stuff that isn’t Classic Halo” -Yoink-

Sprint is designed as a function to get around maps faster. I noticed someone say, just up the base movement speed. That doesn’t solve the supposed issue because then your sprinting anyway. Its as bad as having sprint. I for one don’t mind the changes. I’m interested in seeing where they’re taking the game. Though i’ll most likely be found in the classic playlists. Truthfully, I don’t really care about Multiplayer. Its the story and fiction that matter most to me, and they seem to know what they’re doing in regards to that. So even if it does bomb, they better make Halo’s 5 and 6 so I can finish what is likely to be an epic story.

It is incredibly selfish to say that you don’t care about MP and then argue for the inclusion of sprint. Since you don’t care about MP, my guess is you’re not very good at it and don’t play it competitively. I may be wrong, but this is the truth 9 times out of 10.

If that is true, you don’t know the true effects that sprint has on gameplay, as they only become apparent at higher levels of play. You don’t know the effects until you play the game competitively, and that’s a fact. You would never hear an MLG professional say that sprint speeds the game up while maintaining a straight face.

Also, if you don’t care about MP, why do you care if sprint is in the game or not? You’re in it for the story, right? You can fully experience the story with or without sprint, but the same can’t be said about competitive players with respect to multiplayer.

You lost all credibility with that sentence.

Take it however you want. I’m not here to argue. The point i’m trying to get across, is that i’m in favor of change. I play for fun, not to win. So what if i’m at a disadvantage? As long as I get a few laughs from some funny deaths of random hilarious accidents, then i’m fine with anything they put in. I’ve never been competitive. I’m pretty good at Halo. From CE to Reach. I normally come in around either the middle of near the top. I havn’t been at the bottom since Halo 2.

So they already plan to split the community up… again?!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the average person in favor of sprint. He has no idea what he’s talking about, he is clueless to the effects it has on gameplay, and he is apathetic as to whether or not it’s in the game at all. If he didn’t see sprint in the vidoc, he more than likely wouldn’t have been disappointed.

People like you need to stop voicing your opinions if you don’t care about them at all. Other people actually care about this very deeply, and you’re ruining Halo for them. If you want gimmicks and flair, go play the countless other games that are based on these types of things. All I freaking want is a classic Halo experience, and I’ve waited for 5 damn years. Halo was literally the last console game that had consistent gameplay, and people like you have to come on here and ruin that for the competitive community. Just let us have our game.

I never really had a problem with sprint until i played the anniversary playlist, i don’t hate but it just seems so… unnecessary.

Thats why sprint shouldnt be in h4:

1.sprint was never part of halo

2.people always had the same movement speed

3.people just run away when they are no shield, what leads to slower gameplay

4.it kinda destroys the tactical thinking in halo, cause you can run through ways 20 times faster,so instead of thinking how to get through the long hall on pit for example you can just run through it(maybe you wont get what i mean with this)

5.as i already mentioned with point 2 in halo everyone had the same movement speed,
now i dont want to sprint, and i wont use it,that means that im disadvantaged now, cause i dont want to use it

6.while sprinting i cant shoot but other people can shoot me and im disadvantaged again

now maybe there will be a seperate playlist for me without sprint(maybe mlg) but with this im forced to play this one playlist, and its not fair for such a big halo fan to be forced to play this playlist the whole time

btw:its the same thing with AAs/loadouts,on maps which were jetpack friendly i had to walk to the top of a building for example(disadvantaged again),so you are forced to use the AAs/loadouts or to play 1 playlist the whole time

7.same thing with armor customization and how it affects gameplay

i dont want to be able to run faster while others can reload faster, thats unbalanced, and again im forced to use this even if i dont want to

and then some people will tell me i should play mlg again,so whats the reason for sprint? i would really like to hear 343s reason for this

in halo we all should start equal and finish the game equal

i remember that sentence from a playlist description which says:Only you and your weapon and it should be like this again

OOOO!!! Theirs going to be One game type that classic halo!!! and every other playlist will have sprint?!? This is just like Halo reach - Classic Slayer…
