First things first. These forums look to be even more dead than the HW forums so why couldn’t you guy have moved there and just add some things to make it Waypoint-e.
Also, you guys talk about how “immature” the HW community is so why would you want us taking over here?
And you say that we are all going to be “one big happy family” but how is that going to work? People on the HW forums could barely get along so now you think that it’s going to change since people will be banned for rowdy behavior that went on over there? The biggest problem that killed the HW forums were trolls constantly making new accounts, getting around IP bans, so how do you guys plan to fix that.
Finally, I make Halo Wars youtube videos (Im about the only person who does), but on HW.com I was able to post my links to my videos and Cocop was cool about it. I haven’t had a chance to skim the code of conduct here yet, but how do you guys feel about me posting those links? Maybe they might help the people that play Reach to get into Halo Wars some more?

People on the old website were only like that because they had the liberty to. And they took it for granted. I’m sure most people will learn to adapt to the mods rules.

Yea, I decided to peek in here, I’m hoping these mod are cool and allow me to post my video links, then I’ll stay for sure, but if they don’t I’ll have much more time to do homework lol.

its what made the site great in my opinion, not the trolls but the laid back attitude of knowing there is no moderator control which in itself made quite a good community, made it feel more like friends talking among eachother.
To me, it looks like our Forum Guidelines aren’t too different from the Halo Wars Forum Code of Conduct. If you follow the guidelines we have here (shouldn’t be much of a transition from HaloWars.com) then you have nothing to worry about! We’re in the business of building the strongest Halo community we can.

Yeah, we actually did pretty good considering we didn’t have any mods. Even the trolls went about trolling civilly. And sure, people would insult eachother, but at that point, we all knew eachother well enough that we knew it was all fun and games. Good times But who says we can’t do that here? Again, the mods seem pretty laid back as far as I can tell. It shouldn’t be a problem.
Post away for the links to the vids. I have a thread I post links Halo Panoramas. bsangel even has a thread about posting what is in your fileshare. We like to share here. I wouldn’t think the vids would be bad unless you’re showing how to cheat or something.

Well before Waypoint took over HW.com, the mods wouldn’t let me. So is that a yes I can make a thread linking my video?

At least Kangaroo hasn’t come to give one of his world famous “you all sicken me/learn to read/were you dropped on your head as a child?” speeches. Then again, I’m pretty sure we’re never going to be able to have the random miscellaneous threads here, so he won’t be as prompted as usual.

Just had a thought that the reason trolls were such a minor issue on the old site is that we knew we had no mods and thus we didnt care, you just ignored them, got old after a while.
You all talk about trolls running rampant but I dont see it, I see a nice community of Halo wars players with the occasional idiot who isnt even that bad.
If you see a troll thread and you know a mods going to flip his -Yoink- about it and ban him, then you give it attention which is what it wants.
