Ive got an experiment for you dmr users

> Im curious with all the love for the DMR and hate for it as well do you think ppl would use it if it worked like the DMR worked in Reach? Bloom and randomness? would you use a H4 BR or Reach DMR?

Light Rifle. I prefer consistency.

> Dude it doesn’t matter if the dmr has ridiculous aim assist. You are at a severe disadvantage if you don’t use it. If they nerf it, fine. But no matter what you say to try and discourage its use it is the best loadout weapon and I’m not not going to use the best loadout weapon.

> Oh, and you have no respect for 99% of the games users then. Pretty ignorant. After all 343 put the weapon in the game. It’s a viable weapon to use and it’s not anyones fault but the developers for making things so unbalanced.

Essentially this. The reason so many people use it is because you’re at a severe disadvantage if you don’t. That doesn’t mean everybody who uses it likes how overpowered it is.

> Im curious with all the love for the DMR and hate for it as well do you think ppl would use it if it worked like the DMR worked in Reach? Bloom and randomness? would you use a H4 BR or Reach DMR?

It is overtly used because it is the most efficient weapon to kill enemies with.

It is that simple.

*facepalm
in an annoyed tone It’s not the DMR that has an AA problem. The whole game has huge aim assist on all the weapons, not just the DMR.
Bullet magnetism is also a big problem. I’ve shot people in the back with a sniper sometimes, while they were fully shielded, and gotten an instant kill.

Tested this and yes, this is a little ridiculous. Though they can’t beat me in CQC when I got my Automatics still!

This is what halo 4 has made this community. No one cares about DMR vs any other gun users. One weapon is objectively better and so it is widely used. The problem? There is none.

Maybe it’s not good for the sandbox but the halo I have known for 11 years has had a single precision weapon that is universally powerful. That so happens to be the DMR.

I love people who are to “pro” to use the DMR. They raise my KD.

> I love people who are to “pro” to use the DMR. They raise my KD.

One, nobody cares about KD. Two, we don’t feel too pro to use the DMR, we use soething else because we don’ want to be CHEAP!

> All the precision weapons have the same aim assist and magnetism except for the Carbine which has more magnetism. The DMR is just an overall better weapon than the others, that’s going to change though with the proposed updates.

Yeah, because the LightRifle is JUST as easy to use as the DMR. That’s why everyone uses it in BTB. /sarcasm

I prefer using the BR on certain maps, but on other maps you’re a fool if you don’t use the DMR. Saying it’s cheap, that doesn’t make sense. In Halo 3 it wasn’t considered cheap if you picked up the BR and completely dominated with it. Why the double standard for the DMR in Halo 4?

LOL. Using the best weapon in the game is not cheap. I feel as if you put youself at a disadvantage for not using it. I use nothing but the DMR every map every game.

Console shooters NEED magnestism because they aren’t as precise as PC shooters with people using a mouse/keyboard.

Now I am not saying the H4 magnetism isn’t ridiculously high because it is but have you guys ever tried betraying someone on your team?

Do you see how freakin hard it is to kill him? There isn’t magnetism on teammates and it would just be atrocious if that’s how the game was when shooting enemies.

All the weapons have the same magnetism and aim assist? Then why isn’t the LR overused when it’s better than the DMR?
Oh right because oddly enough it is about 5 times harder to use, even though you state it has the same aim assist and BM.

That statement is always such a lie since the LR is the best weapon but as I already said it seems too hard to use properly for most people.

I like to use all the guns. Pretty simple.

Once the the carbine gets a buff it will be my primary.

If 343 reduces the Magnetism for all weapons it would be fine because then your reticle would have to be on the player in order for the shot’s to hit and register.

Actually, the 4 shot BR can do a number to DMR users at medium range. It works well on those large maps with lots of cover like Exile or Complex now, as long as you know what you’re doing.

Still, I hear they’re nerfing the DMR’s range. Which I like to hear. Kind of sick of not having the ability to move around more open maps because of constantly getting pelted with DMR shots.

I have another fun experiment for DMR users that deny it’s overpowered… use any of the other precisions all day and watch your KD tank. I understand people using the best weapon the game gives them, but denying it’s overpowered is just stupid.

I just gave this lame s**tty game another chance to prove me wrong with all my hate towards this game. Again playing this game was HORRIBLE! I have no idea why I keep trying to play this game at times. Maybe I am stupid or a moron (dunno which one, maybe both). Anyway…

Just for a try I played 1 CTF match. I ended up with 14 kills and 2 deaths. I captured the flag once and also got killing frenzy. ANd guess what… I used DMR. I really consider myself as an average gamer and I am far from a competitive gamer so I shouldn’t get killing frenzy or stats like that so easily. Well in H4 I get and thanks to DMR. Of course the opponents weren’t that good at all but still I think the main reason for my succes was the DMR.

→ DMR is too overpowered, I hate it, why should I use BR if I can own with DMR?

In short: I am a bad gamer but I get “great” stats cuz one weapon. That sucks. Get rid off DMR and make BR to be the only option for a starting weapon.

I was going to day the same about the Railgun and the sparten laser, but this covers that

LOL. I’ve been killed by a light rifle maybe a handfull of times. If it were the best weapon everyone would use it and not the DMR.
