Go to forge with 2 spartans, aim with your dmr’s Neartheir heads, and start shooting while the ret is still red.
See how much work your actually not doing and how much the game is, and since im still on the dmr subject, I have to ask. Whats the point of its ret expanding? It shoots in an exact straight line anyway so was that just for cosmetics like the AR compass?
I showed this to my friend and he was simply amazed, not only was the game doing the work for you by the magnatism, but I told him to just keep the ret on me while i moved left and right slowy, the gun following me like some motion detecting camera.
Any respect ive had for dmr users, which was little, is now just absolutely gone.
Yeah, it’s just ridiculous for fair balanced gameplay. I also don’t like that with the AR you have to keep moving closer to the enemy to kill them b/c of the reticule bloom. Firing in bursts won’t do anything against a precision weapon.
Dude it doesn’t matter if the dmr has ridiculous aim assist. You are at a severe disadvantage if you don’t use it. If they nerf it, fine. But no matter what you say to try and discourage its use it is the best loadout weapon and I’m not not going to use the best loadout weapon.
I’m all for any nerf they make to it. Doesn’t mean I’m going to stop using it in the meantime and lose most battles using something weaker.
I completely agree though the game has way too much aim assist. Stop alienating Halo’s community just because your trying to be more accessible to the noobs and COD players. I hate that word now. Wheelchair = accessible. YUCK.
Oh, and you have no respect for 99% of the games users then. Pretty ignorant. After all 343 put the weapon in the game. It’s a viable weapon to use and it’s not anyones fault but the developers for making things so unbalanced.
All the precision weapons have the same aim assist and magnetism except for the Carbine which has more magnetism. The DMR is just an overall better weapon than the others, that’s going to change though with the proposed updates.
Like a parasite, I really don’t see why they couldn’t have kept some type of bloom factor for it like in reach, not making the engagements “random” as people say.

It only puts you at a disadvantage if you don’t use the surroundings to your advantage. If you can set up the fight in your favor then taking out a DMR user is no problem. However, it’s still ridiculous and unnecessary for that to be the only way to pull it off.
I actually like the DMR now, in Reach I didn’t really like it because of the Bloom (which MLG got rid of in v7 settings or something) but now it’s great… Practically a dominant weapon for me.
This is whats wrong with people, too freaking lazy, sure the dmr is OP at everything but if you change your strategy then you can use other weapons
Theres SOOO many guns in this game and that was supposed to bring variety but everyone wants to use just 1.
My top weapon is proudly the AR, ive worked hard and have a feeling of self accomplishment, dmr users have no say in the matter, the game hands them kills.

I don’t see a problem with the DMR anymore. I think the fact that the reticle is very small makes it hard to stay on target if you’re aiming too fast. It works fine in the long ranges it’s meant to cover.
I really hope that they don’t put the DMR in Halo 5(but they will anyway)
The reason why everyone and their grandmas use it is because as you said, the game basically does the work for them. Although I did hear a rumor that they’re making the BR a 4 shot again but they’re nerfing the range. I swear with 343 its like they take take one step forward and two steps backwards

That’s your prerogative if that’s what makes you feel better. I don’t see how it’s fun to limit yourself to just up close battles all the time though.
There are lots of weapons in the game but only so many in loadouts. I vary it a bit, the BR is king on Haven and adrift for example. My favorite loadout is the DMR and AR with firepower and a jetpack, and dexterity.
I’d say it’s more like they took 1 step forward and 2 steps back with the release of the game. Now with the past and upcoming fixes I think they will be even.
I’m pretty sure bullet magnetism is pretty bad on every gun… I can’t believe how some sr15 with a battle rifle can kill me cross map, then I release hey bullet magnetism. Way to equal the playing field 343! Who needs skill to play halo right?
I dont care, eat my DMR bullets with your magnet head and be glad i dont -Yoink!- you BR fanboys. You primitive screw heads, listen up - this is my Boom Stick
Im curious with all the love for the DMR and hate for it as well do you think ppl would use it if it worked like the DMR worked in Reach? Bloom and randomness? would you use a H4 BR or Reach DMR?
