I've finally found my people.

I’m seriously so amazed at how many posts I’m seeing about Reach backwards compatibility. It makes me happy to see so many of you out there who are fed up with the direction 343 has taken this franchise. It is a testament to their failures when fans are dying to play a five year old previous gen game over their brand new next gen 2 month old game. Halo as we know it might be gone forever but we can keep the old games alive as long as we are willing to pick up the controller, be a part of the community, and play fairly often. I know Reach is far from a perfect game, but it far exceeds anything 343 has ever developed and has more replay value than any of the other Halo games before it. I really look forward to playing with my friends again(on the same screen as well  ). If you have friends who have never played this game, show them how to play and do your best to teach them how to do well. They will get as hooked on this game as we are. Halo is a difficult game to do consistently well at, and nobody wants to play a game when they lose constantly. We can make this game thrive once again!

See you guys soon,
Pweonet

the reach community is going strong, still will be even when Halo 6 is released and barely anyone is playing halo 5.

Halo 5 already took a massive drop in population once the new Blops came out. Halo Reach coming out will be another huge dent. Halo 4 had the largest drop off I have ever seen for such a huge title. While Halo 5 will retain it’s relevance a little longer, I think it will die soon enough

I will gladly pass on H5 once Reach BC is available.
All the glorious Firefights!
All of them!

I don’t know. It feels like H5 is dying much faster than 4 did.

Lol since Halo 5 I’ve played maybe ten games of H5 and about 160 games of Halo reach. Halo 5 just isn’t fun unless you’re one of the dorito munching mountain dew chugging MLG tryhards. I’ve always considered myself in between competitive and casual. I have a big competitive streak in me yet I know how much time commitment it takes to even compete with pro teams and its just not worth it to me. I like to have a radar too which is a problem. I usually play Team Slayer but I prefer Super Slayer its just never populated enough to find games fast. Add me if you want to play

I don’t believe Halo 5 will die, there are many people who are pleased with it, but I believe that most of the veterans will move on to something else, whether it be Reach, MCC, or a totally different game

I hear ya.

I’ve played every halo game on there original release dates. The only exception was Halo Wars, which isn’t a FPS.

I love them all, but BY FAR, REACH and ODST are my fav’s, with REACH coming out on top.

I pre-ordered H5 and had to get an Xbox One for my son for Xmas last year knowing H5 would no support split screen.

343 has killed Halo.

Their choice of color palettes, environments, story telling…it’s just not on par with what Bungie did for Halo. What is up with these ridiculous armors in H5??? They’re Spartans for ef sakes, not clowns. To make matter worse, they take these awful graphics on the Spartans and flip’em around and call it something else, so now you have 100’s of ridiculous armors which you can ONLY get through some random pack of virtual cards called REQ Pacs. Such an obvious cash grab, AGAIN.

What happened to the realistic armor colors? What we have are a palette of neons and pastels. Seriously??? Great move 343.

REACH had the BEST Lobby of any Halo game EVER! You could scroll over and see everyone’s own personal armor configuration.

Thanks 343 for destroying the most epic, groundbreaking FPS video game EVER!

Reach was definitely number 1 or 2 for me.

Reach is #2 for me, only because Halo 2 had such deep meta with the button glitches and how hard some of them were to practice and learn.

But, Halo Reach was popular during the best and happiest time of my entire life so far. I bought it on Halloween and me and my friends had a “Haloween” LAN lol. I met my present wife and most of my present best friends through this game.
So many things were going great for me during Reach. I had soo much fun playing with good friends and making those memories.

And sure, the game had changed a lot from Halo 3, and yes I complained about that a lot, but the game was still for the most part enjoyable.

Besides some of the complaints about gameplay Reach had a ton of great ideas implemented, those ideas are the reason that there are still so many people playing it IMO.
Things like the armor system, file browser, how good forge was(as long as you don’t mind a little gray), how many different options you have in custom games. Those things keep people coming back for more, and brings the community closer together. The way I saw it, there was no point to even forging in Halo 4 without a file browser

Can’t wait to play Reach again, and then hopefully H3 too!

Yes we are here and strong

I hear ya, I am a Halo fan from the old days, I still Play reach like no tomorrow sometimes and Once I have enough time I will be playing that as my only game for some time, GO HALO REACH COMMUNITY!!! H5 and H6 will die off eventually but Reach will always be remembered.

Till the end brother.

Reach was the first Xbox game I bought, and got me hooked on the Halo franchise- I’ve played every Halo and read every book since then. Can’t wait to see how much the population jumps on the 12th!

Easy now…we don’t know when exactly it’ll become available. Seeing how Reach is a legitimate threat to Halo 5, I wouldn’t expect to see Reach till after the Cartographer’s Gift DLC has been released for Halo 5.

Ill be playing both Reach and H5, for me these games are equal in value, that is, once Halo 5 gets more content, it is very bare-bones but I foresee lots of good.

Honestly after playing h5 for awhile I don’t hate it as much as I did, but it still isn’t the game I was hoping it would be. And I don’t think forge and DLC can fix that.

I mean no offense to anyone by saying I don’t like h5, I believe 343 did do some crucial things right with it. Maybe it will grow on me even more with time. I just want button glitches back yo. I miss being able to BXR my way out of hopeless situations and even try doubleshotting if I’m going to die anyway
