I’m enjoying this completely free and optional event in a video game that no one is forcing me to play. ‘Grinding’ a playlist that no one is forcing you to play and then complaining about is getting really old. Do literally anything else. I don’t force myself to a local pickup baseball game that no one invited me to and then go online and complain that baseball is the worst and pickup baseball rules are trash and the players are garbage, etc. That would be an idiotic/insane thing to do.

I wanted it over and one with. It’s been nothing but pain since Tuesday.
I’ll agree that the challenges aren’t great but as far as your pain goes, that’s on you. Most of the people complaining are cramming extended events into a few hours and prioritizing cosmetics above their own enjoyment of the game.
It also sends the message that the challenges weren’t really that bad. Low completion rates for events would be more alarming to the devs.

Lol its fine, you can quit any game if it doesn’t serve the challenge you’re working on. 
Maybe someday 343 will fix progression in this game?

Well I’ve finally got my Mangler kills so the weekly ultimate is also done. Completed the weeks offering already. Now I can sit back and be a filthy casual in Quick Play and BTB.

so here’s my story… i stopped playing infinite right after the cyber showdown event. just to give myself a bit of an break. the attrition gamemode being unique made the challenges barable, and quite fun given the matches i was thrown. but okay, break time, i’l ignore the following tenri event for the next… so weeks past and here come tac ops-… swat. okay, sure, if fiesta can be fun, why not swat? i do fancy it, and the cosmetics seem worthwile enough. let’s give it a shot
so the first game was manglers… actually unfun. like progectiles in the game mode? it’s unique and i ain’t mad that it’s a thing, just not my cup of tea in terms of swat
second and third game was pistols aaaand i’m already not having fun, as well, it’s the pistol in swat… but that doesn’t matter anyways since, even in the mangler match, the servers were still god aweful. the hampster running them is running low, and i cannot count the amount of shots that’ve clear as day shot the head but nothing, or have shot the head despite the fact i clearly shot the chest or surrounding area. OR when people clearly go into cover, or behind a wall, and i still somehow dink their head…
i’ve gotten 2/10 so far, and i’m really looking forward to being done. the server issues being unfixed is so infuriating. mind you it’s not my connection, i can play other online games perfectly fine. it’s just 343’s terrible net coding… i know they said infinite was going back to classic gameplay, but i didn’t think they also meant the classic trash net coding

I got my challenges done last night. I did use a couple of challenge swaps, but beyond that, this event was a pretty decent improvement. There are still a few issues with how RNG dictates which gametypes are selected when a certain weapon is in a specific game mode (I went almost 20 games without getting a single BR match for the 15 BR kills) or if we need games like CTF to get the captures or recovery. Hopefully in season 2, we might see some kind of fix for this.

Ok so,
I haven’t actually completed Tactical Ops yet, actually I just started BUT…normally I never come on here and talk about the game because, I generally always have fun.
Most of the time I enjoy Team Slayer, FFA & Flag but I like most anything that’s Halo related, however when I started playing Tactical Ops - Tactical Slayer for the first time this week, I got the BR version, don’t know the settings, what changed if anything, or nothin’…I know nothin’ except this…

When spawning, with this new Tactical Ops - Tactical Slayer and, EVERYONE has a BR one shot kill…I never looked anywhere other than my bullseye, and just outside my bullseye, looking for movement as I move, focused, and ready for anyone that pops up while carefully scanning certain areas and hotspots on the map and so on but then…all of a sudden, the Zone opened up, the gears changed, and I felt like a deadly Spartan…I had an amazing game and I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, as I’m taking out each enemy with skill and precision…there certainly was no motion tracker.
The entire game…YES…then entire game, I never knew there was a motion tracker, never looked, never thought to for some reason and…I had the best experience ever!
I actually thought the entire game…that I was in Heaven!
I thought NOBODY had a motion tracker and EVERYONE had BR’s…now THAT was exciting for me. How would you feel about those settings or…do they already exist and I’m an idiot? lol…be nice!
Anyway…what happens next is the real Bombshell…next game is a Sidekick match, I get murdered.

I wanted to play the BR one shot, no motion tracker version, over and over and over…but I couldn’t.

So I came here, looking for hope, please 343i…BR’s, no MT…plzzzzz. lol
( I feel Sidekick+MT kills the game for scrubs like me lol we need help, maybe BR one shot, no mt? lol )
Overall: I really do enjoy the game, I usually always have fun and I know 343i is working hard to give us something really, really, really special.

I’ve only played 15 or so games… but I’ve enjoyed them.
I like how each weapon puts a different cadence on the game. Especially the Manglers.
Not everything has legs - but kudos for trying something different.
I’ve ticked off 9 items. I’ll get the last one in the next couple of days. Tac Ops isn’t necessarily my cup of tea so it’s important not to burn out on it.
