Ive been banned and have a few questions

I came on today and ive played one match but left ( i had to go). I havent been on for over 24 hours and when i got this message it was 9 o clock. My ban was until 8:32? How does that work. So im banned after one match for nearly 12 hours? Can someone please explain how this works and also how to check my game history so i can check none of my friends have been playing.

5 DNF on your first page of game history…i’m sorry but you should probably be banned longer then 24 hours…

They were days ago tho. 2 days and 4 should not account to what happens days ahead

If I quit 100 games in a week and I quit 1 today, I should not be penalized for the 100 games I left for the past week but only for leaving 1 game today? Is that your logic?

I’ve talked about a system to hope improve the banning system, making it more fair. Look here https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/6e35355aecdf4fd0acdaee3cc4156fd4/topics/disconnection-reconnection-rejoin-feature/c221af02-d0f2-4038-b2c3-ee5c8849476d/posts

However it is only for arena, but bans should be mainly focused on arena anyway as warzone or btb is not competitive and players can be easily be replaced.

The duration of your ban was 8 minutes and 32 seconds.

haha i just answered you question on the other post. Any way the system doesn’t pay attention to what days they happen on, it averages them with how many recent games you played so say over 4 days you play 10 games, out of those ten the first day you leave 2, and the last day you leave 2. Mathematically you left 4/10 games meaning 40% which = a ban for whatever time.

I never really understood the uproar about being banned, i mean taking a break or playing another game is perfectly exceptable while waiting for it to be over.

That depends. How many dnfs you had ( i had 1 two days ago and a few a week ago) and how long you didnt dnf for.

I understand that bu tstill its a little ridiculous to be banned for 12 hours for 1 dnf in two days. Also it was my fist game in 3 days

Just because you haven’t played in X days doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be held accountable for those DNF’s last time you played.

It’s not a time thing. The DNF’s don’t go away if you don’t play.

So what your saying is that if i dnf and leave for two months and come back and dnf i should still be banned.

The hole point of a ban is that it doesnt affect gamplay so if i go away then im not affecting gameplay
