I've been a bit harsh on 343 lately...

Most of my forum posts have consisted of mostly 343 hate. However recently I’ve realised that I have to be grateful for what we have.

Now do I still hate 343? Yes.

Am I still angry at some of 343’s decisions? Yes.

But we have to remember that they are simply HUMAN. People make mistakes, it happens. Now some of their decisions are still stupid (removing splitscreen) but we all make mistakes and we have to be grateful for what we have. I’m grateful that we at least have infection and BTB. I am grateful that we got free DLC even if it was cut content. I’m grateful for blue team, buck and arbiter being in the game even if they received no character development.

I feel that I don’t have to say my opinion by mindlessly blasting 343 Industries and for that I apologise.

I like the sound of that man! Good for you.

Glad to here that you’ll be focusing on the positives a little bit more.

There’s the sensibility that the Halo community lacks!

Hmmmm, I’m thinking someone got a warning message. Yeah, negative post after negative post is by no means helpful. I would suggest changing those we’s to I’s.

It’s interesting how you say you hate 343i in one sentence, and then apologize in the next. Sorry I’m not going to say, “Atta boy!”. I think you missed the point of your own post.

Is 343 perfect? No. Was Bungie perfect? No. I’m glad that the “torch” was passed to the right people in my opinion. I’m glad to know that there’s still Halo to play rather than Halo just be left as a collection of memories. More people on the forums need an attitude similar to yours as well.

I gave you a like OP, if for no other reason than, you captured my conflicting feelings about this developer perfectly.

There are times I feel rage-y, thinking they don’t care about what the community wants or thinks and that maybe it’s time to move on to another franchise, but then 5 minutes later when I’m opening my free Mark IV in the 15th Anniversary pack - “I LOVE YOU 343!!!” LOL

No matter what I say critically on here about the game and the state of the franchise, I wish nobody personal ill will. I know they are just guys and gals doing their best to make Halo as good as they can make it. I wish them well as people no matter what else happens.

Think and wait before posting negative stuff.

Your topics are currently next to one another and it looks weird, blasting them in one then saying you have been harsh in the other.

(I’m not mocking you BTW)
It… its beautifulcries
ive never sseen someone so honest abut 343’s mistakes
rlly though, same for me. I dont get y people hate on them so much! They are trying their best, and are putting so much effort into this, and if your going to take that for granted, just quit!

“…never seen someone so honest about 343’s mistakes.”? I would say you must be new, but your forum rank says otherwise. So I will guess you missed all the “honesty” as of late.

This apology would have been better spent on the body of the thread that the OP created very recently, 343 Industries Have Lost My Trust and RespectOne day no respect. The next day too harsh? I don’t know. We all have our bad days. Maybe, OP will learn, and be more positive. We’ll see.

We have to remember that Microsoft played a huge part in changing Halo 5, so not everything was truly 343’s fault.

No, I think he got it. He was openly being to hard and apologized for that. Doesn’t mean you gotta stop hating them or making posts on how they should do better. Its best to have an even balance of both positivity and negativity, not one side dominates the other.

Dude, its those ban warnings, they’ll make you change what you post real quick.

How does one hate and forgive at the same time?

I’ve never heard of these “ban warnings”. Are they new?

I completely agree! Focusing on the positives in life is way more rewarding, IMO.

I know that MANY people disagreed with Chris from HaloFollower (wait, HaloFollower? Yeah, them) when he said that the Community should be thankful for what we’ve gotten instead of complaining about stuff that we haven’t gotten, but I actually kind of agreed with him. 343i has definitely made some mistakes, but like you said, Bungie has too. Halo 4 wasn’t great, but it was still a pretty good game (Campaign, Story, etc.) and it gets a ton of hate that it doesn’t really deserve, IMO, because it was 343i’s first game! They did pretty well for their first swing at a Halo game.

The Master Chief Collection (MCC), also gets more hate than it deserves, IMO. Yes, it does have a lot of bugs, but 343i tried something crazy - combining 4 whole Halo games together so that we the fans can experience them in all their glory and seamlessly switch between games at ease. It didn’t work out exactly how everyone wanted it to, but I applaud them for attempting to do something great for us.

Yes, Halo 5 was pretty bare for a Halo game, but I have a counter-point for their “huge mistake”. Did 343i or Bungie even give us a “requirements list” for a Halo game? No. Yes, everyone paid $60 for a game that we expected to be “complete”, but nowhere did they say what the game would or wouldn’t contain. Also, the story and Campaign were both relatively bad, so bad that most of the Community has repeatedly expressed its hatred for it but I would argue that the reason why the Campaign and story were so bad is that Halo 5 was having development issues before launch, which has been heavily rumored by several sources. I know for a fact that Microsoft rushes them to craft a Halo game ASAP, and it’s not fair for them to do that. I love that they keep updating the game with loads of content (some of which are not needed, IMO) and I’m very happy with Halo 5. And just wait until we get the Custom Games Browser, the game’s replay-ability will be greatly increased!

In conclusion, 343i has made many mistakes that have weakened certain parts of the Community (the people who like to customize their appearance, people like me who absolutely love playable Elites, etc.) but they are listening to us and they’re slowing becoming better and better at their jobs (especially the Forge Team, thanks Tom French!). I’m not saying that you have to like 343i, all I’m asking is that people have faith in them and help them to #ForgeABetterHalo.

No, its been around a while. Its basically when you get reported or a mod thinks you’ve broken the rules, you get warned about what you post before hand and receive some sort of strike and if you do anything to get another one you get a temporary ban. I got banned like twice I think, changed what I posted on these forums permanently.

EDIT: Funny thing is, the post that got me banned was an apology post lol.
