I blame microsoft.
I think 343 would have delayed the game even furrher but microsoft probably didn’t want them too.

Thanks for mentioning the $1 Xbox pass. I did it and am enjoying that sweet campaign for a mere $1!
next game release, i believe this is gonna be our game for about 5-6 years the way service games work is updating every so often, honestly this game is probably gonna be the best ever in a year
It’s going to be interesting to see where this game ends up after it’s “finished” years down the line. By and large the campaign and mp are adequate atm, but not enough to keep me around.

???
I couldn’t get any of the cheaper deals here in Australia, they were all sold out. I cost me $99 AUD. I probably could have waited to get it cheaper, but I wanted it for my Husband for Christams.
The time to take a stand was a long time ago before it snowballed into the mess that it is now. We have an entire generation that basically grew up on these wallet leeching business practices who think this is normal or simply doesn’t care because they never experienced the golden age of games before all these modern monetization practices started making games worse.
Maybe so but this has been going for around 5 years right now so they havent grown up on it but for some it was their first experience with it. However the majority of us gamers didnt grow up with this business practice and it wasnt long ago where dlc was just extra stuff to the game that battle passes were none existent and micro transactions werent even a thought. All this in roughly 5 years and here we are with halo. If we dont take a stand now this could get absolutely unmanageable at least right now we still stand a chance to end this kind of practice if enough can agree to actually do something. Mankind has stood together before not like we cant do it against game companies too
It’s already unmanageable. It’s funny that you would talk about dlc in this manner because in my mind, all of this started with horse armor for oblivion. Everybody laughed and berated it, but now that type of thing is commonplace. We can say that these battlepasses, lootboxes…etc have only been a problem for the last 5 years but we’ve been slowly building up to this for 15+ years.
Mass Effect 3 is when it got really bad for it’s multiplayer starting the trend of having microtransactions in their AAA games. Even worse they were lootboxes and made you more powerful but people praised the multiplayer aspect of it in spite of this. This was in 2012 so people have absolutely grown up on this
fully agreed, we need to STOP SUPPORTING THIS NONSENSE. by:
companies have been offsetting this for years now with monetisation schemes that target whales. the average gamer is irrelevant.
for every 200 people that do all of these things, ONE whale who buys everything in the shop makes up for it. it amazes me people hvnt clued into this yet. it’s precisely why battle passes exist and precisely why they are all designed the same.
le gasp! exactly! someone with common sense! as long as 1 person is paying 343/moneysoft, they’l keep on doing it. and everyone knows there will be that ONE or more persons(s).
so unless we stand up and take action, this will NEVER go away. just like the whole loot box thing
It’s definitely laughable compared to Bungie’s four main entries but it’s technically a complete game cuz the campaign functions. No where in commerce laws does it state video games are required to have a complete multiplayer component, and theater mode, and forge mode, and cooperative play, all ready in tandem with the release of the single player official launch.
Our leverage is stop buying the micro transaction items and continue expressing our distaste on social media and forums.
