It's time to take a stand

We as gamers need to take a stand because at this point after 27 years of gaming in my life I’ve seen few changes that are just ultimately bad decisions. And my newest example of this is halos launch. This is probably the most incomplete game I’ve seen at launch with key features of the halo series being lost to when the devs feel like it or actually get the chance to release the content. Mission replayability cooperation proper matchmaking forge theater and a proper custom games creator. I’m sure everyone can agree when I say. STOP RELEASING INCOMPLETE GAMES. As a consumer I am absolutely appalled by the decision to release garbage and call it a complete game at launch. This whole oh we can update that in scheme needs to stop. And it can start with the worst possible launch I’ve ever seen in the history of gaming In my favorite game series

Yeah but we have zero leverage so what do you mean “take a stand”?

Dude. If you don’t like how the game is right now you have two perfectly good options:

  1. Don’t play the game.
  2. Wait until the game is good, then play it.

We don’t even have access to the campaign yet to really know if it’s good or not. Forge is coming out in either May or October 2022. I understand that 343i doesn’t do the best job. The fans have been dealing with that this entire time. There are ups and downs. What’s there is enjoyable but if you don’t like how things are right now that’s okay too.

This is about how fun a videogame is. 343i has been pretty decently transparent about the whole thing. You couldn’t even pre-order Halo: Infinite’s campaign until after they announced that it wouldn’t ship with co-op.

All of us could be doing better things than posting on a videogame forum or playing videogames. This is some pretty low-stakes stuff.

Yeah I wish we could but we can’t. It would be nice for developers to release full games on launch day but they know we will cave and buy it. I myself am shameful to admit I bought the game this morning so it would be ready to play when I get home from work. I said I wasn’t going to get it on launch day but I figured if I suffered through the MCC launch this one can’t be much worse. Sadly developers will always play the game if just how little can we give and still make money.

Your leverage is not buying the product.

The multiplayer is free and I have not bought the Campaign. Happy?

Unfortunately gamers are easy to manipulate and as long as we keep falling for it then the fat cats have no reason to stop .

Oh I havent given them a penny on it and I’m glad as I havent seen any reason too since 4 I’m still mad I actually paid 60 for the love story that was 4 and made my stand not to buy another 343 game but games pass has given me the ability to play them and critique each game individually as I’ve play all of them including assault and wars. This is the only game to launch this badly missing key content

So you’d rather play a game with gamebreaking glitches then play an incomplete game that will be adding on everything missing in perfect form? Then go play CoD or play Battlefield,

But everyone here needs to understand this isnt frustration for just halo while I’m using halo as my main point they aren’t the only ones doing this and as gamers we have the ability to force what they do when we unite for a common cause. And this common cause should be justified to all of you as every last one of us as gamers has experienced this. Truth be told I laugh thinking how Bethesda releases games like companies used to in their best working condition

Tell me where halo cod or battlefield doesnt have glitches. Halo is still crashing multiplayer wise if you sit in the menus for too long

Right, so you’re saying that Halo crashing if you sit in the menus for 30 minutes is worse than everything happening to CoD and Battlefield right now? Thats a bit entitled.

Lol you act like I’m ignoring those games. hey bud how about you stay on proper topic instead of trying to vear off and get this thread closed k thanks.

I didnt say everything happening is great but I’ve already stated in another thread to one of the monitors at that, that both Activision and electronic arts are both known company killers. What I stated and follow me is that this game was launched without more than half of its core staples and modes. And that we need to take a stand against games being released this way

I’ve had my share of criticisms that I’ve put into these forums. But, the multiplayer gameplay is in fact pretty awesome. And pretty much all of the campaign reviews say that it is awesome.

So why am I making some kind of stand right now? I’ve seen enough that 343 has restored my faith in them.

Yeah, there’s still some stuff here that I’m not that keen on but I’m thinking my “stand” is going to be to grab my copy of the campaign!

So, my question is this. Why aren’t people just signing up for the $1.00 trial of game pass and installing the game through there. Play the campaign and enjoy what is there, and then cancel the game pass trial and move on to multiplayer until the game is updated and co-op and forge are released.
I just did the $1.00 trial and got it for 3 months.
Not trying to deny something needs to be done because I completely agree we need to stop allowing things like this to happen, just thought I would drop my 2 cents. :man_shrugging:

Also continue to call them out for not really giving a rip about what the fans what. All the bad decisions have bee made willingly, at the expense of the fans and only because of greed.

“We need to take a stand!..”
now let me insult everyone who doesn’t agree or has questions.
…what a leader, lol.

This is probably the most incomplete game I’ve seen at launch with key features of the halo series being lost to when the devs feel like it or actually get the chance to release the content. Mission replayability cooperation proper matchmaking forge theater and a proper custom games creator. I’m sure everyone can agree when I say. STOP RELEASING INCOMPLETE GAMES

Was Halo 2 an incomplete game when it didn’t have the Assault Rifle from Halo 1?

Was Halo Reach an incomplete game when it didn’t have dual wielding?

Was Halo 3 incomplete when it didn’t have literally every single map from Halo 1/2 in the game?

Just because a feature or content from the previous game isn’t there doesn’t mean the game is “incomplete.” The devs said the game was launching without co-op well in advance of the launch; they didn’t hide it. The devs said that forge wouldn’t be around at launch either.

The only way for you to “take a stand” is to wait a year until those things get patched in, and then you can buy the campaign. Me? I ain’t waiting for co-op or forge, and I’m more than happy to fork over my cash to play the campaign as it is. I’m glad they didn’t delay a full year just to get in a few features that I don’t really care that much about.

I pay for the game pass and have a lot of other games to play, complete games.
