It's Time to Make the Hammer a Loadout Weapon

I’ve been having a pretty hard time in Halo 4 lately. Every game seems to move me deeper and deeper into the red. (I love red.)

I appreciate that I can spawn with 3 sticky grenades; it allows a player of poor aim – like me – to get a few lucky kills here and there. Sometimes, though, even a trio of grenades doesn’t suffice.

With the Gravity Hammer as a loadout weapon, I would have a good second option to try after exhausting my supply of sticky grenades. It would also really help me to max out the Gravity Hammer mastery commendation.

This post gave me cancer.

I don’t agree, but I saw an opportunity to do this. And I took it.

I can’t tell if this post is a joke or not

No, we don’t need it as a loadout weapon. I must admit though it is pretty rare to get it out of ordinance, and its kinda hard to kill anything with it since everyone has a mini sniper.

Its funny because their is an another thread title claiming that the needler is becoming a loadout weapon

I agree, they should put the Binary Rifle and Incineration Cannon as load outs as well.

I’m assuming this was made in sarcasm but Hammer is pretty bad. It needs some kind of buff and that’s pitiful for an ordinance drop weapon.

It is a loadout weapon… in Grifball.

The awkward moment when nobody can see the obvious sarcasm.

343i nerfed the grav ham a good amount this game by giving it the smallest lunge ever, but a more powerful gravity push. I would agree with you only if:

  1. Brutes returned or the UNSC created their own prototype.
  2. There was the heavy weapon for the brutes and a separate mini hammer for load outs.
  3. The loadout weapon would have a melee range lunge, but it would do a tad bit more damage than a melee (not a OHK) and push back the opponent, the opponent can still fire their weapon this whole time, so it would either be a hit-and-run weapon or a clean up weapon.

Shame on the rest of the community for shooting down ideas like this. Even if the idea seems improbable, you should think of ideas to make it possible. tsk tsk tsk!
