Add ONE playlist with visible ranks. Just one. Give that playlist forced loadouts, give it no flinch, add descoping, and fix the death X.
If this doesn’t become a HUGE population playlist, then you can say you told us so.
You can keep your fiesta non learning curve crap that the community left and divided itself over. You can recycle your stories in the most monotonous extra game modes if you please. You don’t have to change a single thing about the game at all. Just add one playlist with the features we want.
Why is this such a travesty? Why are you so afraid of being proven wrong 343?
In fact, most of us who enjoy Halo 4 would be for this just because it would shut up everyone else.
But to be honest, it should be two playlists. 1 Slayer, 1 Objective.
Yeah, it sounds simply until someone starts complaining that 343i changed the colour of the UI font…
Then unfortunately, we are going have another post with the magic bullet that will make people happy.
Unhappy people will never be happy.
I am not refering to the OP. But the vocal minority here derived glee from ridiculing 343i at every turn.
I for one, would not mind seeing the OP idea implemented.

Babysteps.
When we’re proven correct, then we can ask for more. Until then, just throw it all in like throwdown or MLG playlists
I may come off as biased, because I am, but I don’t shoot down good ideas or intelligent conversation. If you disagree with me, or find ways to improve the idea, I will be more than happy to discuss ideals. If you attack me, I’m just going to report and move on. Just a heads up.
OP,
Despite your false belief, adding in visible ranks, code that was not part of the original game is not as easy as drawing a smiley face on a piece of paper.
I have no idea where you kids get the idea that updates are simple quick processes. So called “simple updates” that you down load on Xbox Live for the games you play are like tens of thousands of dollars. It’s expensive as hell, and writing codes and algorithms is not easy.

Well just that will be good enough for the playlist to actually have a low population. Very few players care about trueskill ranks these days and don’t want to be matched up on same skill level since most of the players are there for the social part. Basically all console games that comes with a ranked playlist has 0 players by the end of the day.
Gears 3 ranked died fast, Reach Arena had about 1000-1500 players at prime time and just look at League play in Blops 2 compared to the other playlists.

Despite YOUR beliefs, I know what I’m talking about. You literally have an argument backing up 343 for everything. I know it’s no simple update. I know it’s a hard task, but don’t tell me for 1 second that it isn’t possible.
You also have your money structure in the gaming industry a little messed up. They are funded by developers. 343 doesn’t lose money. They get paid the same rate regardless of what work they do, because Microsoft is funding them and takes the risk. You know nothing of the industries economics and how they work.

that will be enough for a lot of competitive players i think

Different games, and different fanbases. I’m saying, why not give it the chance if there’s nothing to lose? I don’t know who told you that nobody cares about rank because youre very wrong. The thousands of people who used to follow MLG tournaments do. The hardcore players do. The people who left because its not there do. Its a bigger amount than you think.
It wouldn’t get any population because all the players who would’ve played it have left.
> It wouldn’t get any population because all the players who would’ve played it have left.
If you like the McRib from McDOnalds but nothing else, and they take it away, would you go there? No you wouldn’t.
When they bring the McRib back every year, would you go grab one?
Yea probably.
People come back to what they love.

Dude no, the people didn’t leave Halo because there wasn’t a in game rank they left for their own reasons very very little being no CSR and if you believe this will be a magnet for every one to return your praying to Have pigs fly

That’s why every poll ever started on the subject won with visible ranks over not?
That’s why since reach ive had many many “M2AF, no ranks no halo” quits?
That’s why all they talk about on twitchtv and halo council are needs for visible ranks?
Ty again dude.

You still have no idea what you’re talking about and you fail to comprehend in just the slightest what I said.
But I get it, because blind raging hate has filled your eyes that no matter what logic is told to you, you still will believe what you come up with in your head and then spread it like cancer throughout the forums as if it’s fact.

People typically have the same mindset when playing these games, what Bellsten said is the truth, most people don’t like skill based matchmaking and I just got finished watching a video were a guy was explaining why league play in BO2 is failing for similar reasons.(Skip to 2:00) That’s why there are so many quitters in Team Throwdown, because the playlist is too competitive.

Way to attack me rather than rebuttal. I already stated Im up for discussing subjects. Rather than tell me why Im wrong, you just said Im wrong and compared me to cancer. Wonderful.
I think YOURE raging because youre a blind 343 fanboy who puts the company on a pedestal. I know what I’m talking about with game industry economics. I’m in school with the goal of working in a publishing firm. I know very well how it works, and if you can cite facts to prove my points wrong, I invite you to do so.
I’m as calm as ever. All I’m doing here is offering a solution that literally does not affect anyone negatively. If you don’t like it, great, it doesn’t affect you. Everyone seems to be afraid of being proven wrong.
I’ll leave you all with this

enjoy the wheelchair. I’ll be playing real games.

You’re right these things aren’t easy. But here’s a friendly reminder, this game was released in November of last year. That’s about an adequate amount of time to put out a good title update…but what do we have? Nothing too beneficial to this title.

I love how you used a personal example which doesn’t bring strong evidence to your point and the polls in the forum are yet again not the largest part of the consumers of halo
