It's sad they pulled the "for the health of the team" card!

I can’t believe they tried to pull the health of the team card. Did they think that would just make everyone just say awwww…it’s ok. Lol.

Let be serious. If I’m working in a restaurant and half your meal comes out and I come to the table as the manager and say for the health of my team it’s gonna take another hour for the rest of your food! Nope that doesn’t fly.

When it comes down to it this was all about really really poor planning and execution. They tried to pinch every penny everywhere and they are still doing it. Go out and hire 50 developers. Get 10 outsourced firms in there to help out. It’s all about penny pinching and that the gust of it. Just pathetic.

Health of the team…ha… Anyone who had anything to do with management of this game should be fired immediately.

I think it’s a good thing they’re focusing on avoiding crunch to keep the development team in good shape

Here’s the deal, after 4 attempts, I have so little faith in 343i at this point I just don’t care, it’s more healthier to try something else and come back when (or if) the Infinite experience becomes tolerable

try a game you’ve had that itch for, start collecting some rare achievements, or be me and go back to the Xbox 360 and play some terrible games like Blacksite ಠ_ಠ

I think it’s important for 343 to be making remarks like this, especially as scrutiny surrounding studio and publisher practices becomes more commonplace.

Getting ahead of the curve on preventing things like crunch will give them an upper hand, especially if they can work that practice into a reasonable development schedule.

I dont think 343 is a team, its rented personnel with 6 months contracts.
Thats why the seasons are 6 months long.
After 6 months they need to search for new staff, just look at their adverts.

You could say - they are focusing on good work life balance for us too.

I agree that work life balance is important at your job. Something also important is hitting you deadlines with a complete product. They should have work life balance for their team but just hire more people and spend the money necessary.

This is an extremely unrealistic viewpoint of how businesses operate.

Spend 5 years in a game that’s launched incomplete, come half a year after launch and it’s still incomplete and yeah they’ll make excuses to avoid the criticism. It doesn’t matter though since infinites pop is tanking hard. Not even top 10 for a flagship franchise that it’s touted to be🤷‍♀️ They’re in damage control mode but it’s pretty irrelevant since people are setting their foot down with them for a change.

Why exactly is hiring more staff when there is to much work to be done and you can’t hit deadlines an unrealistic view of how businesses operate?
