Here´s Another source: http://www.giantbomb.com/articles/microsoft-to-pull-complete-reversal-on-xbox-one-dr/1100-4673/

was close to get a ps4 but now i am coming back for xbox one

This is good news indeed! I’ll play H5 eventually after all.

This is what I was saying, they made the changes I was talking about.

You have connect to the internet once, which will enable you to play offline after that. Exactly like a Steam profile, you can play offline once you have set up the offline profile.

Ah yes good sir, I do sincerely believe I have just --Yoink-- myself.

My plan is still to get the PS4 first as it doesn’t bode well that the Xbox One demos were being run on PC with Nvidia and Windows 7. When Halo 4.5/5/whatever comes out, most problems must have been resolved by then and I will most likely get it as a bundle or as a used One.

So much for “We are not afraid of PS4”, back paddling like this. xD

Remember the day that Gamers won (and their pockets). ;D

i am getting a ps4 too but just so you know both the ps4 and xbox1 were run on pc’s as were the 360 and ps3 they do that because the games havnt been fully optimized yet fro consoles but i respect your choice just thought you might wanna know that little tidbit

I was going to get one when the next Halo comes out anyway, but this is pretty good news.

It’s kind of funny when people think they make an impact like that as some sort of crusade and think that they’ve won it all. If the retailers like gamestop weren’t around, then NEW games would very likely be very much CHEAPER and there would be likely a lot of SALES like on steam. But so long the old system is in place, the price of games will be around 60$ with little good sales happening often and used games not giving money to the publishers. Why do people usually buy used games? Because they want it cheap. Let’s take steam. Games can be found cheaply there and guess what? They’re new! Digital is good for pockets. Take out big retailers like gamestop and then you get cheaper prices for new games. Win win.

All PS4 did was the same thing they did before. Xbox tried something new but it wasn’t going well for the PR. They didn’t talk about it during the E3 press conference and cancelled the round tables likely because they were in a transition stage where they would see about it. The halting of move to digital seems a bit disappointing.

Gamers won and we can now finally rejoice! Now I may get the system! Don’t screw this up Microsoft! All we need now is for them to make some games for the 360. The slims are still pretty new to us.

I dont have words for this so:

That may all be nice and all, but we won’t have Cloud gaming and Family Sharing anymore.

So the new Xbox is now just a specs upgrade like the PS4.

Not really, PS4 games were actually run on PS4 dev kits.

Developer of upcoming PS4/PC/iOS title The Witness Jonathan Blow tweeted:

https://twitter.com/Jonathan_Blow
It is not true as the article says that “all E3 demos run on hi-end PCs”. The Witness was running on PS4 dev hardware, and it looked to me like all the other PS4 games were running on dev kits as well.
Dev hardware is the hardware that will be in the final retail box, but in a less consumer-oriented package.
Dev kits almost always have more RAM yeah. Better CPU+GPU, no…
All the indies I know were running on the PS4.
We worked very hard to get our game running on the actual PS4 hardware and operating system in time for the show. As did many other devs.

Sucker Punch’s Jason Connell added:

Yup, we were definitely on a dev kit. [For inFamous: Second Son]

Blow commented:

That is kind of crazy considering consoles are supposed to be on the shelves with these games in 5-6 months.
During Microsoft’s press show I was impressed by how good the games looked given the console’s specs. But if they weren’t running on those specs then it becomes pretty questionable.

This is the main reason I’m waiting for until Halo comes around. That will give us enough time for all this dust to settle down and see exactly how powerful the One is.

Couldn’t they just make it an opt in/opt out service? If you want cloud gaming and family sharing, opt into daily checks. If you decide you no longer want or care about those features, opt out.

And installing games and having them digital/disc. This is a disappointment.

Gamers won what? Several of the console’s cool features are gone, a step forward to end retailers is taken back. As the other guy said, it’s basically just a spec upgrade like the ps4…

This is the best news ever!

Now release a Kinect-less Halo 5 bundle and I’ll be there Day 1.
