Before I say anything, I want to tell all of you haters and flamers and trolls to go sod off.
Now, to the topic at hand.
I’ve liked 343 for their undertaking of Halo and keeping it up to par. No, they haven’t done as well as Bungie did with Halo 3 and it’s multiple game modes and customization. What they have done is taken a plot for an epic saga and the basics of the video game and brought it up to this generation’s method of online gaming with a side of single-player.
The reason I love Halo 5 is because of all of the small things that you can earn while playing any multiplayer mode, along with the additional NEW content that rolls around almost every month. The limited Warzone maps have gotten tiresome on days, but when that happens I just swap over to Arena and play any of the 6(sometimes 7) playlists that are there. I’m not a one-game-mode type of player. That way I can enjoy any aspect of the game (except Forge. I’ve never liked Forge in general).
I LOVE the new content coming around in the next upgrade. The Halo 2 BR, the weapon skins, and especially the arena maps look cool. So, to sum this up, I won’t stop playing Halo anytime soon and any of you that can’t appreciate what you get, sod off.

If you played halo when it was at its prime your outlook would be different.

Thanks for this pointless post, it really adds nothing to the forum. Thanks for your input I guess, but this post provides nothing constructive. If you enjoy the game, get back to playing it.

Also the poster above me is right. You have no Halo 3 games played, no Halo 2 games played, you weren’t around when the game was good, of course you like it now.

We don’t all fit into two categories: haters and fanboys. I think H5 is fantastic overall but I also think some aspects of what 343 have delivered is poor. Nothing is perfect.

This is also me, I love the gameplay but the lack of content takes away from it.

So you made a post just to say you like the company, not to incite a discussion or anything? gr8 b8 m8

I’ve been around since CE and this is by far my favourite Halo. The lack of gametypes and maps is admittedly bad, however. They need to hurry up before too many people leave for good.

Maybe, but at least its not toxic and corrosive vitriol. Which is kind of nice to come upon. It’s not a perfect game but if you read these forums you’d think this was the biggest, steamiest pile of dog -Yoink- to ever launch for a console. In reality its a solid game that bucks the downward trend of the last few Halos.

I’ve been around since day one. Halo: CE up till now. I still like Halo 5. Your point is moot.

Don’t be that guy. He could have been using a different account, or maybe he played as a guest at a friend’s place. You know, when the series had this thing called split-screen. Don’t go make assumptions that he’s never played the older games.

And you know what? I’ve been playing Halo since Halo 1 came out, and I quite enjoy Halo 5’s multiplayer. Is the game missing content? Most definitely. Are there some things I would want to change? Of course. Is what we have a blast to play? Without a doubt. The gunplay and new abilities are smooth and everything flows well. The game feels as solid as Halo 2 did and I don’t see myself not playing it for a long while.

They need a new tab for the I love/hate posts. Just start putting them all there.

Agreed! Been around since CE and up until H5 came out, Halo 2 was king in my book. Halo 5 is taking over that throne.

I find it hard to defend 343 or halo 5 when the story lacks and the content is heavily lacking. This is 343s third attempt at a halo game… Halo 4 was trash. MCC WAS NOT EVEN PLAYABLE. 343 cannot make games worth a damn. Three strikes and your ouuuuuuuutt

Well I have ever since CE and well it is heading in the right direction but it could be better.

Not true. I love Halo 5. I’m excited to get some new game modes, but I think Halo 5 is fantastic.

I support the poster, it’s true, this is the best halo ever.

I would just ask where the plot for an epic saga is at in Halo 5. Also, that first line the OP has about haters and trolls should given that is only exists to spark arguments and I have a feeling the OP wants that.

i kinda like 343 again now i thought halo was ruined but really just look at the new gun skins and game modes there good enouth to hang about till halo 6

There is quite a noticeable list of reasons that one could point to the opposite of what you said.

  • Horrible campaign with false advertisement, overuse of bosses, lack of equal missions for both teams, and bad overall storyline which could have been vastly improved to a better experience - Lack of gamemodes, forge, and playlists at start which made it stale really fast, that is still lacking even 4 months later. - Splitscreen, won’t even get into how dumb of a decision this was - Limited maps, even now, which are composed of quite a few forge maps. - Bad UI which makes it pretty difficult to even look at other players in the lobby - Matchmaking system which doesn’t even try to place similar sized fireteams against each other which allows for teams of 12s to be placed against randoms - Tryhard MLG feel, even now 3 months later, with all of these ranked playlists even though they could easily put in the various playlists as permanent ones instead of random weekend playlists, which at least the other games older games that while being MLG had things for the casual players as well. - And finally REQS…not only is it just a way for 343 to milk the game even more, they aren’t even really trying to make any new good ones. Pizza skin? Really? Don’t even get me started on all of the useless emblems, that we see for 10 seconds in the lobby pre-match. Maybe if they had some of those texturers they hired for REQs for other actual useful things, like Forge, we could get some more useful assets, instead of 1000 different REQ skins that we would barely even use if added to Forge.
One of the few things that I could say positively about Halo 5 is the improvement of the game mechanics, but that is overshadowed by all of the other issues that came with the game. Funny thing is that quite a few of these issues could have been easily solved if they had waited a few months up to say March or so to actually work on it. If they had done so, the only complaints that could still be had were the dislikable campaign, splitscreen, and REQs. Everything else could have been fixed had they not decided to rush a half completed game out to try to compete against 5 different other games at the same time, instead of waiting for a time when there wouldn’t had been any major competition.

Why don’t you look at my xbox profile? I’ve played every halo game when they came out. The fact that I don’t have the records on THIS site doesn’t matter.
