I hate the sniper in Halo 4. I forced myself to like Team Snipers but something about it…I just couldn’t like. It was probably the registry more than anything. There’s so many times where I KNOW I hit someone, I see the shields flicker but they either are at full shields or headshot me before I can do a follow up shot.
I went back to Halo 3 today to test out the sniper there and oh my goodness, the registry was so much better.
That ends my rant.

I haven’t had any problems with the Halo 4 sniper rifle at all. Head shots, snapshots, 2 body shots etc. all working as expected.
I’ve had a lot of issues with hit registration on the sniper as well. Some shots don’t hit, even despite hit-markers at times, though I have been getting bad connection for a while now.
I’ve had a few good games with it but for the most part the hit registration in comparison to Halo 3 for example is atrocious.
