Its not "new" if it should have already been there

Bottom line: I think 343 should delay for a little while longer.
Bringing forge and co-op in another season and branding it as “new” content for something that should’ve already been there reminds me of H5 launch.
I want to defend 343 as much as anyone else, but I’d rather wait for a full 60 dollar game…not one that’s worth 30 or 40 dollar game that still cost 60 bucks.
also if there’s no forge we got not custom game really, sure we got pre-made maps and we can mess with the settings but why not follow the Reach formula on this one. GIve us a full game with NUMEROUS game modes like CE-REACH, with splitscreen and regular Co-op and forge on launch. I hate when people say “oh sure its that easy, why don’t you make it?” the issue with that is that was on launch of every other Halo game, its the bare minimum.
THIS IS NOT A I HATE 343i POST! I truly want to support them and play some REAL Halo again.

It shouldn’t be there if it’s going too be buggy. I think 343 wants too avoid bugs and that’s why these features-which may be some of the buggier ones in development-are being delayed. Would you like these features on day one but unstable? Or these features stable but releasing later. I feel like 343 tried too find something that would take another postponement off the table and this was it.

Dude you know white knighting for this doesn’t look good. You know they should delay it. Please realise that

They shouldn’t delay it. Delaying it would only kill any hype that they’ve built up outside of the halo community. What needs too happen is it needs to release with tier one necessity’s (Campaign, MP) and keep some tier two features (Forge, firefight, etc.) On the back burner too make sure that there are no bugs in them. I’d rather the game release with features that don’t have bugs and keep some features for later than force buggy features out.

Solution to said problem DELAY THE GAME. Can’t be buggy if they work out said features. Boo hoo you won’t be able to play it as soon as you’re any but for everyone else that forges and does co op I know I do we will appreciate the time 343 put Into it so it launches as a WHOLE game. Shipping it half finished doesnt build good will it erodes it. My hype is gone I’m at the point what else can they mess up on?

I forge maps. I play co-op. I’d rather play the game sooner knowing that if there’s still more too come later that play it later with no massive new features too look forward too.

Have higher standards please. Co op was a base feature for all of the games at LAUNCH. Not a year down the line. I expect it to be there at launch so I can play with friends enjoy it together

My standards are high, that’s why I’d like to wait on these features so they’re 100% ready but still play the base game.

You are settling for missing features…………. Don’t settle on less than what we got in the last

They’ve had six years. I don’t care if it’s a slightly updates H5 forge – something needs to be there. They have NO excuse for this.

Yeah, wait until it’s also revealed that there’s a map count in the single digits, the campaign is less than 4 hours, and maybe half-a-dozen multiplayer modes.

At this rate, I would prefer them to just cancel campaign co op and forge–or even campaign in general. It’s clearly not a priority. If you’re not going to deliver it, don’t deliver it.

Just give us the F2P multiplayer rgb, colorful cheap chairs, energy drinks, microtransactions, and jock-style esports spectacle that they’re really focusing on here. We’ll get story through the books and TV show.

the people that forge and and play co -op will still have to wait whether they delay the game or not, so might as well release what they have so people can play something. Delaying the game again after saying its releasing holiday 2021 doesn’t build good will either. If people don’t want to buy the game because there is no co-op or forge then those people can wait till its released and buy the game then. Why force everyone else to wait.

3 of those years were spent building the engine. So 3 on the actual game plus covid.

Lol, it seems most people here forgot they said the game was “content complete” earlier this year. This is not “content complete”, that was a lie. I call for a delay until it’s actually content complete. Don’t bend the knee because it’s F2P.

I’m not talking about a few hundred people’s hype, I’m talking the global hype, nobody’s buying this for forge and everyone wanting too do co-op campaign will probably do their research and realize that it was delayed, and just get the game three months later. Global hype needed too stay high.

The irony is that this announcement is killing hype. I’m in a group of 18 friends, they’ve all decided to give this game a miss until they feel it’s a complete product. Most of them hope the content that should be there will at least appear in the first week or two. As soon as I said it might be 3 months to half a year they just said “yeah… na”.

it’s a shame but it is what it is. I’m still partial to playing it at launch, it’s probably not going to be anywhere near as good as it should be of course but first impressions matter. Especially day one and the first month of release.
