It's not me, it's you.-Halo 4

Dear,

[Insert GT here], I’m tired of you talking crap about how horrible I am, and how I should’ve never changed. I’m not trying to change for you, but for the better more progressive thing that I can be. It’s amazing how little of time you’ve spent with me, and yet you seem to know what’s best. Have you ever thought that just maybe you’re the one with the issue? Actually, I’d like to make a statement out of that question; you are the one with the issue. You’re terrible! You expected that just because we worked well together back in 2007, and after all this time, that’d it be the same. I’m a different thing now, like it or leave. If you decide to like me, than just be patient as I’m sure you’ll learn to progress with me.

Sincerely,

Halo 4.

If Halo 4 was perfect, we wouldn’t need a Halo 4 forum to discuss about what to improve.

Dear [Insert GT Here],

I heard people liked Call of Duty, so I decided to become like it. Then, after shamelessly replicating its systems and ruining my own identity, I defend to the death the fact that these changes are original and new. I’m sorry you’re being honest about how I’m lackluster. I’m sorry you think that map movement is something we need. I’m also sorry that you’re upset about dying to gimmick ordinance drops and instant spawn flanks. I used to cater to both competitive and casual gamers, but now I decided I only like the casual ones. They still defend me and make me feel pretty. I really wish you’d lie to me like they do, just one more time, so I could pretend we’re still in love.

Most of you have played me enough to realize what I am: A fun distraction and a bitter reminder of what could have been. I’m sorry I abandoned my arena style roots and went with the crowd - I just wanted to expand my horizons and sell myself to as many people as possible. Is that so wrong?

With love,
Halo 4.

P.S. - What, you wanted a functional killcam and diverse custom game options? Well aren’t you a self-entitled narcissist. Why can’t you just settle for banality and mediocrity like the rest of them? Get back in line.

Dear MSX Warsaw or whatever your name is, stop being so biased.

See the OP.

Sorry, I’ll stop being honest.

I’ll start thinking just like you from now on, so as not to encroach upon your divine will.
