It’s the little things too.
The fact that 343i was SO LAZY when they made this game that they couldn’t add:
Big Party Matching - So full teams play against FULL TEAMS
Join in Progress Limitations - So you don’t get placed in a game with 2:00 left on the clock, or the 3rd round of Infection.
PROPER END GAME SCORING - Have you seen the end game scoreboard in any gamemode? It will claim there is a tie when there isn’t, and it will say “Victory” when you lose in pretty much any team game. I swear I was playing Infection once, it popped up and said “Victory!” Then it showed:
1 - NAME - 40
6 - NAME - 25
4 - NAME - 20
Why were 6th, and 4th place on the final scoreboard, why was it ONLY showing round 3 scores, and why was the person it claimed to be in 1st, not actually the highest score in the game?
Working Challenges - The Challenges are quite frankly, buggy as all hell. Same with the Achievements. Not only that, they didn’t have the COMMON KNOWLEDGE to set “FFA Wins” challenges to count top 50% as winners.
Consistent graphics - It’s one thing to say “Graphics don’t matter” and usually that’s true. But when you make a game where some things are graphically spectacular, then you turn around and see something that looks like it came from a saturday morning cartoon, it really pulls you out of the moment. Why did they put so much time and effort into detailing some things, just to turn around and make other things look like they came straight out of Halo: CE?
GOOD Humour - Halo has always had classy, mature humour. From Marines saying funny lines, to the Thirsty Grunt. But Halo 4’s “Humour” couldn’t get a chuckle out of anyone older than 10… NOT counting the RvB easter eggs, those are hilarious. But just look at the Ghost run in mission 3. The Grunts are SERIOUSLY a silly and completely unnecessary touch. In ANY previous Halo game if you drove by enemy forces in a Hog Run, or Vehicle section, they would be doing something Productive, such as fighting eachother and making attempts to stop you.
