It's not DLC...these are updates

Seems like the word “DLC” is being used loosely here. In mostly all other games when charging for DLC there is significant content, usually 4 new maps with other trinckets here and there. But to call these updates “DLC” seems out of place. 2 maps and reqs shouldn’t be considered DLC. Forge being released after launch shouldn’t be considered “DLC”. Yes these are free but I would rather pay $$ to get 3-4 packs of actual content. is it me or is the word “DLC” used a little too freely with this game…? thoughts?

thnx for reading.

Dlc is small updates to me, expansions are large updates of content. It all matters on how one looks at it I guess. In the end tho dlc stands for downloadable content which these updates are.

I’ll take Useless Distinctions for $500, Alex.

Its contend that is being downloaded. Dlc. Yes it is small compared to others but this is fresh out the oven stuff. In order to pump out content like they have they must be constantly making more. Not complaining.
You know what they say about gift horses right?

“Downloadable Content” = “DLC”
… Must I explain further?

DLC = Downloadable content. They use DLC exactly what it is meant for. You have to DOWNLOAD the content to get it. It’s being added to the game after launch. It’s DLC. Where CoD BO3 get’s his first update next month were getting our third. With a total of 10 maps so far (yes some of which are forge maps, but new maps are new maps). Game modes are being added next month (Yes, they should’ve been ingame already) but they are working on them.

Stop complaining about everything or posting about it. We know, they know, everybody knows.

When is the content dropping?

GTA calls this “title update”
small little things for the fans. And 343i just relax on the REQ money.

I totally agree with you OP

Dude. That’s one of the purposes of this forum. Next time, try adding something constructive versus the “stop complaining” comment.

What’s the point in re-creating posts, while there are several posts made about this. Same for every topic 100 people complain about.

DLC stands for downloadable content… it doesnt matter if its big or small… it is downloadable content…

Technically IT IS DLC! DLC = DownloadableContent. As for the fact that the updates we’re getting are not only gamefixes but adding game content as well, they are actually literally DLC.

This.
That’s how I feel about dlc.

By definition, it’s DLC. It is content (however small it is or you think it is) that you download. End of discussion.

I wouldn’t consider these as DLC as these are mandatory updates. You don’t chose to download them, they are released and you update your game automatically when its released.

It is content and you do have to download it soooooooooo…

Ya me too…DLC stands for Data Link Connection. Get it right people!
