I made a pleasant discovery today; I actually like Arena! I’m normally a Warzone player as I’m nothing special when it comes to PvP play but I’ve also decided to start a stream chronicling my grind for SR 152.
To throw in a little variety in a shameless attempt to keep viewers interested, I decided to give Ranked play a go. I’ve always loved Big Team Battle but couldn’t find a match so I went for Slayer instead. Suffice to say I now have a CSR (it’s not great) and plans to include Ranked in my future sessions!
With that in mind, what advice can veteran players give me to allow me to flourish in this new environment?

Aye, that’s been the plan so far. Cheers for the reply.
if your goal is to see how far you can push your ranks, baller4lyfe’s advice about teamwork is the most important. even if its just you and another person. ive found that a well coordinated team of average players can pick apart random pairings of much higher ranks just because of simple things like callouts, teamshooting etc. but if you find yourself going with randos, i always make myself take a break from the game mode if i loose two or three times in succession. sometimes tossing in a different game mode can prevent you from getting into a rut or even worse getting angry and totaly blowing it. and yeh, get real good with that magnum
Get some people who have the same idea as you and team with them and get into party chats, not game chat. Learn spawns and weapon and power up times, call out 2 shots 1 shots, where you see enemies. Glad you’re liking it!

I often will communicate with randoms on my team when solo queing via game-chat. Most often nobody plugs in a headset and talks back, but sometimes they do. Anyways, even if they don’t I try to assume that they may be hearing the information I’m trying to pass along. I figure it can only help.

Yeah that’s the best thing you can do at that point. I miss the old H2/H3 days, everyone had a mic, and if someone’s broke, it was a let down, I remember some of us even sent each other some money to go to gamestop to just get a cheap mic and plug it in and tape it to their astros, good times…good times
Like many of the replys, talk with your teammates (would be best if you teamed up with a friend so you both know how you guys play) keep track of the power weapons, practised if you’re kind of new to the game (don’t know how many games you’ve played) and keep track of the spawn points to somewhat pint point where they are going or are in the beginning and when you kill someone.
