This. Also, when I join a game of warzone but then am unable to press Y to access weapons and what not, and am stuck with the basic loadout of the assault rifle and pistol for the entire game.

Enemy Sniper rifles, Banshees, & Wraiths start showing up in Warzone, when your entire team is still at req level 2.
You spawn a legendary or mythic weapon at an armory or the central base in warzone.
