Why are all these idiots so butthurt about the population? I mean come on seriously, do you not know what month it is, what next month is? November and December are the two most popular months for video game releases and unlike the times of Halo 3 there are A LOT of other great games already available on the system and great games that have just recently released (not to mention a whole new console). And i can’t do anything but laugh when people make population complaint threads at 7am in the morning, people do go to school, work and half of the people that do neither are asleep. Shut it with your population bs because its like putting waypoint over your head that points and says “I HAVE NO COMMON SENSE!”.
tbh i’d rather have a smaller tight knit community that actually know how to play the game, than have 500k+ of casual noobs who just generally mess about and don’t have a clue whats going on
All I can tell you is that I’m XP capped at 70. I should be playing the game, I should be wanting to play Spartan Ops. I should be playing Wargames…but the reality is I really don’t have a reason to step back into Halo 4 when I know that by playing I’m cheating myself in time and effort for no reason at all.
A community of D-bags going out of their way to vehicle destroy and splatter spree in Spartan ops.
Lack luster maps. No objectives. A mic less community. A mech that suffers from arthritis. It goes on my friend. I’m envious of your good nature towards this game, because I’ve got none.
People complain about one thing, then someone complains about them complaining, that then spawns more complaints and arguments. You can’t satisfy everyone, and forums REALLY make it apparent. It’s the same across every forum for every game. “This is not (enter previous game title)!” “This (insert weapon) is OP!” “(Insert company name) doesn’t listen to it’s community!”

The population is dying because people are sick of every issue. Most of my friends cannot even play this game due to server failure and no such response in over 16 hours from 343i. Tell me what incentive is there to stay with Halo?
COD has a 500k strong community. It has 1 playlist with more people then the entire population of Halo 4. We paid for a BETA which should have been released months ago like what Bungie did with ODST. They found over 55 thousand recorded glitches with the BETA and that was Bungie’s 6th game. You do the math and see what problem 343 have.
I paid more then $450. I deserve every right to complain. If it’s about the population or 343i’s lack of communication about all the issues it’s customers have been receiving.
But yeah, let’s wait for Christmas. I can’t wait for the infants hoping that their mums buy them Halo 4. It will make immature behaviour and team vehicle killing (Just because you didn’t get the Mantis first!) ever more popular.

The internal beta would hav had about 250 - 5000 players at any given time, versus a public beta with like 300,000 players at any given time. More people means more chance of discovering glitches.
They didn’t go public because it would have destroyed the hype and anticipation of this game 'cause we all would have realised how poor the MP is.

Agreed. People just need to realize this and not let it get to them. Some people start threads expressing how they are going to stop visiting the forums because they can’t take the constant complaining/bickering. I keep coming to the forums because I have accepted that it will always be there and I don’t let it bother me.

Like none of those games were ‘big’ until those releases, mind you. None of them quite held a candle to Halo 3 in sales and popularity because of how established Halo was as a FPS series. While I agree it was one of the best years ever, those games then and there had to build up their fanbase in most cases where as Halo 3 had a huge one to boot.
Fastforward to Halo 4: Many of these games now have significant pre-existing fanbases, thus dillutting the population and spreading it thinner across the many different and exciting games. Naturally, Halo 4 has a significantly more competitive market than Halo 3 did.
So op… why does the holiday season only affect halo 4 population? Last time i saw my roomate play black ops 2 there was 970 000 players xbox online in multiplayer alone. Probably over a million if you add zombies. It dropped a little bit compared to the first week 1.5 million. But halo 4 dropped so much, its not even top 3 games played on xbox live, you can rationalise it any way you want. Halo 4 the only exclusive of this console this winter is not even a top 3 xbox live game.
Thats terrible, there is no other way to look at it. Its losing ground every week, there is already less players then halo reach and that game was even more awful. Halo 4 is better then reach, just not better enough to justify staying for most people. Too many issues and no one to answer anything about them. Bungie had a voice every week with meaningful things to say, 343 are mutes.
