It's Mammoth! (That's what she said...)

I saw a few threads asking if the Mammoth would be in Forge, is it drivable, etc?

It got me to thinking, what if it was released as a future map in DLC. The inside of it I mean. It looks big enough for the interior to be designed for a 4v4 map.

Maybe having an EE that started the mammoth so it would start driving while the match is in progress, or just having it drive around asthetically. Noticeable by looking out of windows. Maybe you would see a Super carrier like on Highlands or the UNSC Infinity.

The spawn killing! Oh my!

The hell you on about?! That already happens on the 4v4 maps we have now, so why… wait, what?

> It looks big enough for the interior to be designed for a 4v4 map.

This, exactly this. The damn vehicle is way too big to put on a map.

> It got me to thinking, what if it was released as a future map in DLC. The inside of it I mean. It looks big enough for the interior to be designed for a 4v4 map.

Eh, no. The Mammoth is big, but not big enough for a good 4v4 map I think. You think about trying to cram a decent 4v4 map in that space, like Lockout, Midship or Warlock, I just can’t see it happening - and then combine the fact that Halo 4 maps need to be bigger than those in previous Halo games due to universal sprint.

That, and I’d also be pretty miffed if a new multiplayer map was just the interior of an existing “building” on the disc ported over to multiplayer.

What’s the point in putting resources towards a map that doesn’t try to solve any existing problems with multiplayer? You seriously want to have a map where spawn killing is the main attraction?

That pic makes it looks smaller than it is, this one makes the Mammoth look huge. link.

Now i’m asking you the same thing. The hell you on about?

Spawn killing has nothing to do with anything in this thread.

Mammoth is too big to fit into maps. Maybe in forge, in a massive open area it could fit, but it wouldn’t be good for gameplay, since it would take up a lot of space.

At least is on campaign and spartan ops, dunno if drivable.

Tx, that’s the first time I’ve seen that pic.

Did you read the OP?

Do you think the inside is large enough for a 4v4 map?

The way I see it, it’s size is comparable to the upstairs and downstairs building on Powerhouse in Reach. Not that big for a map itself.

I doubt you can fit 50 Warthogs in that structure. BTW in comparion to the Mammoth that’s how many Warthogs it is.

You do realize the mammoth isn’t even that big. The specs are not accurate in game and the picture above is CGI not in game footage. It is in no way larger than a grid, it can be easily implemented into forge.

Perhaps in Action Sack.

Apparently its 4x the length of an elephant and about twice the height. so IMO that’s pretty big.

> Apparently its 4x the length of an elephant and about twice the height. so IMO that’s pretty big.

No

It’s barely double

The Mammoth isn’t too big to put on a Forge map.

As long as I can get inside one and drive, I have no problem.

That’s from the live action trailer that accompanied te E3 gameplay we saw this year. I’ll take an in-game screenshot over CGI any day.

Are you serious? Go back and read your own posts. Someone posted a valid criticism - spawn killing on such a small map would be a problem, and then you dismissed it by simply stating “well we already have maps where spawn killing is a problem, so why not?”

I don’t see the point in this at all - I would be fine with a Mammoth incorporated in to a map (even as a stationary base that you can’t drive), but not just a Mammoth. You also have not addressed any of my other points - but there’s not really any point in debating this because it probably won’t happen any way, and I also have to head off to bed since I have to get up at 5:30am.

Where do you see me say that? It’s obvious you’re tired because you’re seeing things.
