It's happening...

Ever since a few companies have achieved the Achilles armor, there have been many players wearing it in arena.

However, when they die, they fall victim to constant teabagging and betrayals (despite on what team they’re on). Now some may call this “justice” and “well deserved”, while others call it “immature” and “childish”.

The point being, I knew this was going to happen, like many others did as well. It is sad that the players that have achieved the armor in a “legit” way must suffer as well, but to those who farmed for it, you have only yourself to blame. Achilles is becoming, no…it HAS become a negative representation of Halo players. The armor that was suppose to represent perseverance has now become a representation of low lives. And I’m afraid the damage was dealt too much to try to reverse that effect.

Let this serve as an example to 343, and let them learn from there mistakes. That’s about all we can hope for on that at this point.

Exactly. If they ever try to do an exclusive armor like this, it needs to incorporate multiple objectives like Recon did with Halo 3

It’s not even that really, they just need to understand that not everyone in the community are perfect angels that are willing to fallow the rules and due things lagit. They should have for seen that people would be jerks.

I received the armor legit, the helmet is the mark of the farmer currently.

Other players won’t think that, though.any sign of achilles will mean automatic griefer.

That’s why I feel bad for players like yourself. Earned it the legit way, but have to suffer for the farmers’ way of earning it.

Bungie gave me Recon in Halo 3 before it was made available to everyone. Trust me, the amount of hate/teabagging pales in comparison to the CONSTANT messages of threats of violence and hacking I received on a daily basis for having Recon.

nobody is “suffering” from getting t-bagged.

If this is really happening as you say, then whether they got it legit or not, they should laugh when it happens because it just shows the other player’s butthurt & jealousy.

lol this is not an “issue”.

btw, I have the armor & hardly ever get bagged

The issue lies more in the fact that the hate will be on a much larger scale compared to just one person. The more Achilles shows up in arena, the more abuse (and how frequent it will be) will be the true issue for players.

Not saying I don’t have sympathy for what you experienced in Halo 3, but Achilles has made such a bad impression for a majority of folks, while Recon just served as a rare armor that only some received initially.

My company is close to the helmet. Only 2 more commendations to go

It is an issue for those who earned it without farming once.

Well, similarly to Recon, it will eventually be owned by anyone in a Spartan Company. And like someone else said, teabagging just shows jealousy/envy. What isn’t ok, however, are the people reporting Achilles owners for unsporting behavior.

People betray others for wearing Achilles? That’s… Silly.

Honestly, when I see somebody wearing Achilles, I don’t think anything of it. It’s just another not so great armour, after all.

okay this is a bit extreme don’t you think? I don’t consider getting teabagged or even purposely targeted a form of suffering in halo. It’s just halo.

As they say, haters are going to hate. But at least recon didn’t exactly force you to use your fellow gamer as a crop.

343 made this armour and they should have known full well that people would abuse things to get there way.
But honestly, I think that this is something we just need to let people cool down about, feelings are high about farming now.

Ive seen it in a few matches now. I don’t think anything of it as well (since I personally don’t even care about achieving achilles). But I’ve seen many betray and -Yoink!- achilles players in a match simply because they are wearing it.

Maybe not you but for the people who play competitive will get extremely frustrated due to the fact they are getting betrayed

People will always mock, bully, and punish those who have things, they themselves have yet to earn.
I laugh myself when I notice the whole lobby is full of children wearing the same Halloween costume, instead of using the system to “make your own Spartan” as many should.

I’ve sent you a PM if you could reply please.
