its not hard to understand. they are almost EXACTLY the same and if there was to be a ‘true’ bloodgulch remake it would play exactly the same as hemmorage.

Exactly! People have to understand this, the only differences are the setting, color, and more hills, that’s about it.

Hemorrhage was basically an identical copy of Coagulation from Halo 2, except they -Yoinked!- ed up both ends of the map dramatically. Ironically, it dramatically altered gameplay too. It’s far from Coagulation, which already played differently to Blood Gulch.

Hemorrhage =/= Blood Gulch. True story.

Plus with Reach’s -Yoink- y mechanics and no banshee/gauss hogs you can hardly call it a Blood Gulch re-make; it plays nothing like BG.

Man all this talk of Blood Gulch is really killing it for me. I mean the map was good in CE and Halo 2, i liked it but…it’s not that great IMO.

You can have your opinion on the matter but the fact is that Bungie intended the map to be a “definitive remake” of Blood Gulch and that’s that. Like it or not, it’s a remake of Blood Gulch and it’s not going anywhere. Setting aside ones preference and bias, this is how it is.

Whether it’s good one is debatable. Personally, i am looking forward to remake of Timberlands :smiley:

Either way, its not worth remaking it for Reach, it wont work.
343i chose the right maps. The only one I doubt is Ridgeline, because I never really got to play it. I would have preferred Sidewinder of Sandtrap.

Sidewinder is great map but it got remaked (Avalanche) in Halo 3 and as you know 343 didn’t want to include any maps that were made on the 360 for CE:A (remake or no). Sandtrap was the same thing unfortunately. So i guess we have to settle with Timberlands, fine by me i didn’t play the PC version either.

Those two maps could be viable for Halo 4 however.
