It's been almost 2 months

2 long and painful months since this game as been released. I am just curious if you will ever have this game working? Matchmaking is still very broken. Still yet to see ranks in other playlists, not to mention the ranking system doesn’t even work in the H2A playlist. I was a rank 8 getting matched against with a 46? Very close in numbers… The game constantly needs reset, and it’s terrible. Even at the St. Louis event on system link, the games crashed :frowning: This game has been a major let down, I’m wondering if you will ever have it up to speed?

Instead of giving us some BS campaign of ODST, why don’t you fix the game you currently have first?

It has been exactly 1 mo and 27 days, but your point still stands that 343 let us all down and continue to do so.

feels like 6 months

Agreed. Been hyping for this since it was announced. I hope 343 learns that they should never promise us anything because we damn well will hold them to the standards that they set themselves.

Personally, I think 343i has no idea how to fix the game. Each portion of the MCC was outsourced to other companies for them to develop it, and then 343i kinda mashed it onto a disc.

Now with all the issues the game has, the 343 developers are looking at the other companies’ code and probably have no freaking clue what’s wrong with it. As a computer programmer, and I’m sure other programmers agree with me here, it is much easier to code a working program out the first time around, rather than write code full of bugs and try to find and fix them all.

The 343 devs are probably going insane with the debugging process on it. Not to mention that Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were all coded by Bungie in the first place, so 343 probably has no freaking clue what to do.

That is why its taking so long to fix this game. It is also why they aren’t communicating with us, the community, because 343i literally doesn’t know how to fix it.
Like I said, if it was done right the first time by people who know what they’re doing instead of outsourcing it to no-name companies, the MCC would have had a much better launch.

343 done goofed on this one.

Yes, that explains what went wrong with the matchmaking (the actual process of putting searching players into a game), but there are so many countless other issues like hit detection, the menu glitches, freezing, etc. that have nothing to do with Microsoft’s 2015 matchmaking.

Yeah, matchmaking is a huge part of the problem with MCC and that one’s probably on Microsoft, but there are countless other things that fall on 343i too.

I don’t really care what their excuse is. Don’t make promises to people about a game they are paying good money for! Months down the road and we still can’t enjoy the game. I can honestly say I have had much, much more frustration with this game than I have enjoyment. The majority of my time on this game is resetting the game, searching in matchmaking with no success, or staring at my screen wondering why the hell I am even trying. I had such high hopes for this company, and it’s been one giant let down after the other. Great job in losing the entire fan base, gaining a big population back with the announcement of this game, then killing it all over again. Outstanding work.
