F*** H5 If Halo The Master Chief Collection is as good as Im expecting it to be we can just play that 4 the next 10 years. I look at The Master Chief Collection as a backup plan incase H5 fails and Im pretty sure it will when I seen the multiplayer beta trailer when it said “New Spartan Abilities”. Im gonna just play H5 for the fun of it and just to see what happens next. Whos with me? I dunno about you guys but despise any Halo game that includes Armor Abilites in multiplayer and all that unneeded nonsense.

Armor Abilities are pretty much confirmed to be gone. Spartan Abilities refer to base traits such as duel-wielding, boarding, etc.
I’m very happy about this collection, but it’s not something that will make me just completely forget about Halo 5, especially since I’m a lore nut. It is a good thing to have in case the Halo 5 multiplayer doesn’t pan out, but this collection isn’t going to sway me to not buy Halo 5 and give it a shot.
Also, spartan abilities aren’t the same as armor abilities. They already confirmed that. The armor abilities have pretty much been scrapped.

Only time will tell if Spartan Abilities are good for the franchise or not.
Spartan abilities are not armour abilities. AAs should be killed with fire but I’m a little interested to what new mechanics will bring to the table. Maybe one of these spartan abilities is dual wielding (although they did say “all new”)
I’m with you on playing the master chief collection for the next 10 years though.
You should hate halo 2 then, as “Spartan abilities” have been defined as baseline traits like Boarding and dual-wielding.
As long as these Spartan Abilities are balanced and EVERY Spartan can use them and its not some kind of Call of Duty or Battlefield Class BS then it doesnt sound so bad tbh.

Spartan Abilities are abilities that every Spartan will have. It’s simply new base player traits, like in Halo 2 how Duel Wielding and Boarding were introduced; this is the same thing.

If like every Spartan starts off the same as every Spartan in the game then its okay.
After watching the short trailer, one could assume that maybe some of the added abilities are a melee slam or sliding into cover as shown in the cinematic trailer. Of course they might have put it in the trailer just for effect. But in reality I strongly think that is was teasing us and they are trying to do something like CoDs dolphin dive or knee slide to change up the gameplay a bit. Anyway thats just my thoughts.

after the disappointments of reach and h4 I thought somebody would probably see where Im coming from 
This is a little overkill…
H5 sounds to be on track as of right now and MCC will be a good place holder until then.
That gives us about a year to play MCC so by then im sure many ppl will be craving the new chapter of chiefs story.
