The game flat out tells you at start up that it has problems and can even crash. Why are people freaking out?

Remember everyone, the only reason they released this beta in the first place was to get feedback from us so they can further improve this already AMAZING game.
I absolutely love this game so far. It’s feels like pure Halo, only better. I have seen no advantage to aiming down the sites as opposed to hip firing. I would also like to see the Sniper rifle have a slightly faster rate of fire.
Weapon switching needs to be slightly quicker too. Usually it’s quicker to switch weapons twice rather than zoom in twice using the sniper to get out of scope, but at the minute it doesn’t seem that way.

I do not, the halo 2 sniper has reinforced how bad a high rate of fire on a sniper is

Most of the time betas are a very good indication of how things actually turn out.
Whilst not related to gaming, a lot of people were saying “Ahh don’t worry about the state of Apple Maps, it’s just a beta” when iOS 6 was in beta, then maps actually WAS released in a terrible state. So just because it’s a beta doesn’t mean it will change drastically by release.
I am fine with H5 as is, but would like to see a few tweaks to the range/damage of certain weapons, some anomalies fixed on maps etc.

I think it should be slightly slower than it was in H4. Just slow enough to make sure the user actually has to aim it.
You shouldn’t be surprised by people whining like children. There should have been a closed Beta with a specific forum for feedback and proper discussion. 343 seems to be handling this poorly by letting everyone in and then not having somewhere to actually give feedback and get a response.

There is a forum for feedback (click click), but the hard task is getting people to post in the right forum
When did I indicate that I was worried? I love the game already. The beta is just for feedback so they can tweek whatever needs tweeking.
What do I expect?
A good Halo game.
What am I playing when i start up this Beta?
An awesome Halo game.
I want people to cry about it. Feedback is key. What people need to stop doing it “343 killed Halo” “DAE think this is COD” and “This sucks” posts.

Destiny’s beta was more of a publicity stunt; there was no way they were gonna be able to make any meaningful changes after it. But with H5’s beta, there’s almost a year until launch so more meaningful changes can and WILL happen.

I might have to agree. It seems as tho the general public can’t mentally handle anything. The only thing I could imagine driving me nuts about this game is that I won’t get to play it for 10 months once they take it down. It’s such a tease
