I’ve been playing for 4 hours straight and haven’t reach the cap. Played for 8 yesterday and didn’t hit the cap. Obviously its because your using double EXP. So don’t complain if you reach the cap twice as fast.
Just mess around and try to achieve your commendations! 
You dont get EXP but you do get armor

obviously you are just bad, because almost anyone who plays MM for 8 hours caps out
and double exp is half that. And spartan ops is an easy 2-3 hours cap with double exp.
OP probably shouldn’t have skipped church to play video games

Play another game? Watch a movie? Read a book? Learn a new skill? Pursue another interest? Spend time with friends/family? Get caught up on world news?
In all seriousness though, having yet to hit the level cap it’s not really an issue for me, but if it’s inconveniencing so many players, it should definitely be raised.
I already hit the cap today as well, and I only used 3 double xp matches… going to stop playing because I don’t want to get boned out of another 10-15k+ exp from completing challenges/commendations since the xp cap blocks them from adding xp after cap is hit. Last time I hit cap and kept playing “just for fun” I completed over 2 challenges and lost out on all that xp.
Nothing better to do on my day off than play halo and try catch up to some who are already dinging rank 50, but xp cap puts a major hindrance on those plans… especially because it seems to be so low. (That, or it’s bugged and thinks I’m hitting it without even coming close…)

Apparently Microsoft only made one game for the Xbox 360 and it’s called Halo 4.
There is a massive amount of other things you can do. Clean your house, do yard work, read a book, go for a walk, watch a movie, take a nap, hang out with friends, go to a bar (if you’re 21), or play a different game.
hahaha I’ve never hit the cap…far out, some people have probably forgotten what the outside world looks like.
Besides, as someone above me mentioned; you could just keep playing the game because it’s fun. Possibly with people on your friends list, which increases the fun-factor.
If exp. cap stops you having fun, then wow…just wow.
What are you going to do once you hit SR 130?
Play the game, not for XP, but for fun.
The instant someone starts playing ONLY to grind out XP is the instant the game becomes no longer a game, but a chore.

I’ve not hit the cap yet… probably never will. No double exp for me and I usually tend to take a brake when I get frustrated.
The problem here is you people assume someone like myself is different from you. I play the game for xp, yes, but that’s what makes the game fun. With out the XP the purpose of the game is destroyed and in it so is the fun. The essence of the game to me, is you play the game, you do well, and you get rewarded for it. Well having that reward taken away, for no reason, but being to good at getting it, isn’t, my friends, very fun.
