I was playing firefight in Halo 5 and my cousin was watching, he heard one of the promithians make a sound and said “Was that a Flood?”. I was thinking the whole night about how great it would be if you could fight Flood in Warzone Firefight. Anyone else think that would be cool?
Yeah definitely man, i think it would be awesome.
Nc idea but Never gonna happen. Unless they make a spinoff game and add them back in, the way Halo is moving, i dont see the flood coming back TBH
Should the Flood return again, I want to use the Halo 3 Flamethrower to toast em good.
Please no. I hate fighting the flood. I’d rather fight Brutes
Warzone Floodfight, I’m in, where do I sign up?

Yeah, to an extent at least… Such as having a Flood Juggernaut boss or something as a Mythic A.I.

They could add it as a different game type maybe
I really want to try these new Forerunner weapons on the Flood.
Like, they’re literally designed to kill the Flood.
Although that begs the question, if Spartans can kill Flood with -Yoink!- Shotguns, how did the Forerunners lose?
While it’s unlikely, Halo 6 could feature Flood enemies without breaking canon.
If the Halo ring in the legendary ending is anything to go off of, Installation 04 had Flood specimens in captivity, why couldn’t this one? That is, if we travel to the ring in Halo 6, of course.

Oh my friend, the Flood can not be killed with a shotgun, merely temporarily halted. :^]

If you find out let me know.
I doubt them coming back.
Not for Halo 5, that would most likely push the game to an M rating. Maybe for Halo 6 they could reintroduce them…and if they did I’d reintroduce them to my shotgun.
As long as they can’t kill you in 20 frames like a banshee can, I’m down.

Im pretty sure the ring at the end was a new one made by cortana to control humanity. Also, if John is immune tot he composer, would he be immune to the Halos too???
Didact for flood. That would be cool.
I wouldn’t mind a flood faction in warzone, but it will probably have to wait until the next game.
Speaking of that I always thought it would be neat to fight against AI spartans/marines too. There could be a lot more variations than there are now honestly.
Brute-Covenant faction +drones +engineers (prophet bosses)
Sentinels/enforcers (monitor boss)
All of the flood variations (juggernaut form boss lol)
Rogue UNSC faction (scorpion tank boss)
this would literally be the opposite of great IMO.

Cortana couldn’t have just “made” a new halo. That would have taken the Ark and several months to do. The Ark, while stable in its appearance in Hunter’s in the Dark, is nowhere near operational enough to create a new ring, especially in such a quick span of time. I’m sure the ring is Zeta Halo or one of the other rings previously unexplored.
He is most certainly not immune to the Halo rings firing. The composer basically digitized people, it took them and made them synthetic beings, half organic half robotic, and the Didact decided to use those beings (Prometheans) to combat the flood, since they couldn’t be infected. John would still surely die in a Halo’s blast.

The amount of flood Master Chief fought was nothing compared to what the Forerunners had to deal with.
