For those of you that are unaware, the 3 promos were originally:
World of Halo: WCT Emblem
Spartan Collection: WCT Armor Coating
Energy Sword: WCT Vehicle Coating
Well if you check your redeem history, they changed them:
World of Halo: Figured Nameplate
(Basically the same thing, since Emblems don’t exist in Infinite)
Spartan Collection: Perfect Detail Weapon Coating
(COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHANGE)
Energy Sword: WCT Vehicle
(COMPLETELY MISSING IN GAME)
For whatever reason, it appears 343 decided to give us all the finger and swap our codes for a white and purple Armor and Vehicle Coating, in favor of yet another AR Coating, like we didn’t already have a dozen, including the Monster, Rockstar, and now Game Pass AR Coatings.
We didn’t ask nor did we want these changes. Some of us bought the figures and swords exclusively for the Armor and Vehicle Coatings they promised. After weeks later, from many people putting up Support Tickets, we still have no replies and no information on why they changed these, and if they will change them back. Most likely, this is what we get for being Halo fans in 2021. Thanks 343。

Tagging people that have posted similar topics wondering where their promo items are, since they are affected by this:
@Octdi @BURNER64 @CapricanToaster @Thready704 @SpectralXIV (Probably missing more users)
If anyone is affected by this, post below and continue to contact Waypoint Support over this.
People also may still be missing Monster Promo items, but that’s a somewhat different topic, unless 343 also scrapped some of those rewards as well.

There is this thing called license agreement, subject to change, and so far 343 has shown they have no problem abusing that, telling the player base one thing but their actions show another.
They would like me to buy a $60 campaign but they don’t offer any gear. They have a f2p pvp that also doesn’t offer any gear. The thing is I can go play D2 right now with the new light system and get more gear than what 343 has in the shop for free. At this point, I feel this game is a tottle rip off and 343 needs to be held accountable for their deliberate poor actions that has ruined Halo because they built it around a shop.

Not gonna lie, I haven’t played D2 since Red War, but that new Bungie Anniversary event looks like shining gold in comparison to how 343 is treating fans in Halo Infinite. I have Game Pass, so I’ll play the Campaign, but I’m honestly looking at defecting back to Destiny, because Halo Infinite feels super scuffed and scummy in every aspect. It’s pretty clearly a bootleg Destiny ripoff built around the Store, and nothing else feels polished.

It’s not the same issue, but my preorder promo code from Amazon returns “already redeemed a maximum number of times” when I try to input it. Anyone got the same problem?

I don’t like the new Bungie, but at least they give something for the money you spend.
343 released a Barbone game and to think they have had Microsoft backing them up. I can’t even believe the excuse they are giving to try to justify their poor actions.

If you mean the Amazon promo code for 3 packs of 12 swaps, you can only redeem 1 of those, like if you got it from a case of Rockstar for example. You can check your redeem history to see if you redeemed that code in the past.
I hated D2 when it launched, during season of undying they fixed a lot but there were still issues so I ultimately left, I returned this year for this event and Halloween one, I’ve had a decent amount fun.

I’ve seen a lot of hype since that Witch DLC dropped, so I kind of want to see what I missed out on. D1 was fantastic. Hopefully D2 redeemed itself now. I have a feeling Infinite will take years to polish, especially since Season 2 is 6 months away. No signs of improvements in the near future.

Infinite is Destiny 2: 2 in its launch so far, expect 3 seasons of garbage

Based on:
• The scuffed Coatings (bootleg Destiny shaders that can’t even be applied to all armor individually by pieces, as well as vehicles, and weapons)
• Store with a bundled credits system (bootleg Destiny Eververse, except you can’t earn Dust as a free currency)
• Scuffed Battle Pass
• Poorly Executed Free to Play
• Multiplayer game modes I’ve already seen in Destiny
• Movement mechanics like sliding
• Open world Campaign
• Upgradable ability tree Master Chief
Etc
Yeah, I’ve been saying since the previous betas, Halo Infinite is just Destiny 3, the worst possible future where Bungie stayed with Activision

I was a bit worried when I redeemed mine and it said WCT Coating (during flight), because I didn’t yet know if it were like Destiny 2, now I know the coating just doesn’t exist for armor, fantastic.

I’m having a hard time figuring this out. Right now I can’t figure out what was originally promised and what actually ended up releasing. Any chance you could post a photo or a specific product? You can post links using the “preformatted text (ctrl+E)” feature in a new line
like this.
I think filing a support ticket is a good thing to do. (For anyone reading this, please don’t file a ticket unless you are personally affected.)
Like I said in the main post, when we redeemed our codes, they said WCT Armor Coating and WCT Vehicle Coating, but instead, they just changed WCT Armor Coating to yet another AR Coating nobody wanted, and there is no WCT Vehicle Coating in the game either. We basically got scammed, because they just decided to change the redeem rewards to a junk AR skin. I’m sure a quick Google search would find you many people with the same questions, and images of users redeeming WCT Armor Coating and WCT Vehicle Coating, as well as collectors database sites, wondering where they are and what happened.

Did you have any specific details or implications about what the WCT armor coating and vehicle coating would have looked like? Do you know which vehicle the second one was for?
That’s the problem, the promo was last year, and there were no images of what the Armor or Vehicle coating would look like, other than speculation of them being white and purple, based on the Wicked Cool Toys logo colors, which is what the AR coating turned out to be. Just imagine applying the Perfect Detail AR Coating, but on Armor and a Vehicle. No further detail was given, nor concept art at the time. The point is, people were blindly buying figures and swords because they wanted this mystery Armor and Vehicle coating that everyone was posting about they redeemed. Come 2021 and Infinite releases, surprise, there’s no Armor or Vehicle Coating, just an AR Coating that nobody was expecting or wanted. We already have a dozen AR coatings. Some of us didn’t even want the toys, we just wanted those coatings they said they came with.

I’m not saying there is any excuse for infinite to have this kind of lackluster customization, but you’re comparing a looter shooter RPG to an arena shooter…. And you must not have played D2 during the first 3 years if it’s life. It was terrible. It took them 3 years to get it to an even remotely entertaining state, and it’s still not that good.
If I remember correctly, the last expansion for D2 actually took away more content than it added.
Yet, knowing Halo is not a looter shooter 343 is trying to treat it as one with the shop.
There’s flawed logic has ruined the experience playing Halo for the sake of a buck.
The shop is just cosmetics… almost all pvp games have that now. Cosmetics are not exclusive to RPGs…
That shop is the laziest design o have ever seen.
I wished they just went with items being permanent in store an offer a way to grind for credits in game.
It they are obviously just drip feeding us content.
