It will never play like CoD.

Let’s take a look back at Call of Duty 2, and compare it to the latest entry in the series, Modern Warfare 3. A lot have happened since then. Call of Duty 2 has a set number of classes to choose from, has no rewards for kill streaks and there are no perks what so ever (except for a few things that define each class). But guess what? The still play very much the same. If you jump from CoD2 to MW3 there will without a doubt be differences, but it may not be as major as one might think.

Compare this to Halo. Halo 1,2,4,ODST and Reach plays very alike in that sence that you can switch between them pretty easily. The way you handle your weapon, the way you move through enviorments, the way the jump feels floaty, the way you switch between using grenades, your weapon and your melee attack. Halo 4 will very likely be the same.

Just because it has stuff that other action games have (in this case, CoD) does not make it CoD.

Yeah, fine it doesn’t play like CoD, but it sure as hell doesn’t play like Halo anymore either.

Of course it won’t play like CoD, it’ll just have most features that CoD has.

Halo needs to appeal to other players besides the ones that have been here for a while. They also need to move up in times and use things that make other games great, like the ability to join matches in progress.

Never say never.

What?

No, it doesn’t.

And must that be bad thing? It might be executed beautifully and work just fine, making it feel new while still playing like Halo.
