Yes, more than half this game is bad. More than half of this game is the multiplayer, and its bad. Your company was built from the ground up to solidify gameplay for an already existing engine, fix core issues, make more enjoyable maps, and return halo to its glory days. Obvious halo features were left out, we were ripped off for maps at the beginning like every other a game does with DLC and most of the maps are not worth playing. You had two communities, casual and competitive and simply contacting the best of both groups would of given you more information then you could of ever needed. Games require public betas and it has nothing to do with you guys letting us get a hold of the game early its thousands and thousands of people going on to stress test the game and see how it works. The feedback you get you need to ask yourselves when adding or removing something not only is it game breaking but “does this change that a group of people want effect the other group of people and if it does is a toggle option available to be put in.” Removing something like flinching or forgetting to add it, one or the other, is unacceptable and should be addressed in the TU. It honestly feels like we live in a world where we can all say “this should never happen” but the moment it becomes reality there is nothing we can do and just accept it? Players want a game thats hard to be good at, something to encourage them to play i.e. ranks that go up and down. Not a level grind mechanic from an MMORPG. How many games of Haven do we need to play before you start making more maps? I’m expecting halo 4 to be a dead issue to 343i at this point and would much rather focus on halo 5 it just sucks that i have to wait AGAIN for someone to potentially make a decent halo game.

-add flinching
-add flag dropping toggle option
-editor for instaspawn
-take boltsh*t and pp out of loadouts
-add more maps

fix those 5 things and at least the settings will be useable from a competitive standpoint. From a casual one, whats listed above plus, simply remove loadouts all together including the option to edit them mid match. Thats stupid. It makes no sense. Instead, have a character profile that has 1 set up and you can only edit things in between games like we used to. Halo is not a class shooter and giving us the option to choose w/e our loadouts consist of is like asking us to break the game. Obviously everyone is going to choose the fastest killing rifle with the best scope as a main, and a shotgun as our secondary. Anyone who doesnt either doesnt know how much better the dmr is compared to the other rifles or just refuses to acknowledge it lol

oh and

maps

maps

maps!

just include the 4 most picked maps from the previous halo game (start with halo 2 for the first time) recreate those and from then on recreate which 3 get picked the most each game and just add your own spins to them, thats 3 maps, then just add 5 more of your own, bam, 8 maps to start, and your first dlc could have 3 more maps, bam 11 maps.

This tournament with VG gaming is silly, it basically rewards who does the best for an entire week provided those players play every day 24 hours a day 7 days a week. So what are you rewarding exactly? Who has an entire week to play halo? What happened to games that rewarded “skill” ? I mean MLG’s logo is on the cover of the guide but now we aren’t running at MLG events? Thats stupid. When this infinity challenge is done I hope so is the VG contract with halo. Treyarch is willing to work with MLG and I dont need cod becoming the mlg shooter for the next ten years and ive heard 343i wants to work with them to but why cant you guys kick ms in the -Yoink-??

fixx hallooo!!

I think you should work on your spelling, nobody will read this with grammar that bad.

Do not forget about the paragraphs, sentence structure, and originality with a post.

Yea way too much to read.
Everyday there are plenty of people posting why they dislike or think the game is broken.
I’m sure by now 343i has seen some.Heck, that seems to be all the forums are these days.
Who wants to go read a forum of just negativity?

Dude, this game has a couple problems, but it’s nowhere even CLOSE to bad. It’s amazing, even. Just needs some fixes.

Well I agree with you to a certain degree, your opinion on the maps but that’s a topic I don’t want to get in let’s talk about the stuff we both agree on since there’s enough negativity in these threads. Halo 4 needs to cater to the competitive community rather the cashs… And work with MLG as you said. Cahs have ruined a lot in the gaming community…

> Who wants to go read a forum of just negativity?

no one, but i liked his idea about remaking the most popular maps of previous halos. Why not remake the most popular halo 1 maps to?

Opinion =/= fact. Something the OP is forgetting.

I disagree with Frankie, it’s not half bad it’s about 80-90% great.

> I disagree with Frankie, it’s not half bad it’s about 80-90% great.

QFT

Yeah it could’ve been better spaced and better grammatically, but you folks above make me shake my head. How about responding to his points instead of just posting spam that does nothing to further discussion? And it wasn’t that much to read. Honestly he is right.

Halo 4 has considerably less features than past Halos, maybe more than just Halo: CE. The maps, while better suited for AAs, just aren’t all that fun to play on. The ranking system could be better, and no I don’t think a Waypoint-only ranking system that 343i is going to use won’t do the job. The weapon sandbox is well balanced as both the DMR and Boltshot reign supreme and should get nerfed. And the -Yoink!- Gaming Infinity Tournament is ridiculous, all it really does it reward people who play a lot, so folks like me who have jobs and school don’t stand much of a chance to make a dent.

Halo 4 could be better, but 343i has a lot of ground to cover.

> Dude, this game has a couple problems, but it’s nowhere even CLOSE to bad. It’s amazing, even. Just needs some fixes.

I agree. 343 probably acknowledges this and are working to fix these problems.still, I wish it was halo 3 style.

I feel you. How the hell did this game ship with that map roster?

one of my biggest points is

this company was made from the ground up to perfect an already existing top quality game.

ground

up

not to make “something like halo” to make halo itself. They had all the info and what they released was a marketing scheme designed to get out $. They said it themselves, they altered the already existing engine. Meaning they reduced bloom and made sprint a default. They did nothing game/ground breaking.

who did you hire?

why did you hire them?

what made you think they new what they were talking about?

why wasent the product properly tested?

why wasent valuable feedback used and changes made and features implemented?

is this what i should expect from future titles?

I want answers to these questions. You cant just hire any idiot who knows how to use a computer these days. People that type in the information shouldnt always be the people deciding how the mechanics should work either. We have plenty of professional gamers available to help create an amazing multi-player experience.

on a side note, couldnt give a -Yoink- about my grammar. post/read with this info in mind. <3

“I agree. 343 probably acknowledges this and are working to fix these problems.still, I wish it was halo 3 style.”

I dont, Halo 3 was dead to me, but that is my personal opinion.Dual-wielding was terrible balancing, and walking and jumping gets old…quick. The only thing that game had was variety with playlists.I didnt like it so i didnt play it.To me it felt like halo 2 which i spent thousands of hours on, i didnt feel like playing a copy with new weapons and vehicles.

One thing i can say about Halo 4 is that its breathing new air into a once stale franchise. You can only add new weapons, enemies, and vehicles for so long, until there is nothing fresh to add without changing basic core gameplay.Truthfully i hope by the end of the franchise i see gore and ADS.I want to see a grunt explode into a few pieces and feel like i have full control of a gun.

Then again what i want will most likely never happen.ADS may sound like im referring to CoD but im not i actually like ADS since it gives guns a realistic feel which would make them memorable.

no one is debating the new features are bad just a few key mechanics are seriously messing with this game. Honestly if i had my wishes be done bullet magnetism would be reduced and acceleration when walking would be brought back so players could strafe better or just make strafing better w/e

what opinion have i stated that isint so grossly backed by its popularity that it might as well be fact?

Where you said “add flinch” I think you meant “remove flinch”. Flinch doesn’t belong in Halo.

I’m one of those that refuses to use the DMR. I have used it before, and I acknowledge that it’s OP. I just refuse to stoop down to the level that all the scrubs are at using DMR and Boldshot n00b combo.

Other than that, I agree with you a little. I bet a public beta would’ve helped a LOT. There’s a lot of stuff that needs to be changed. I bet not even half of it will be fixed in the TU. I know Frankie said that “a lot needs to be fixed, and it will”, but honestly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t cover everything that gets fixed, ie. DMR and Boltshot power, JIP, flinch, custom games and forge stuff, and a CLASSIC PLAYLIST.
