It took my 28 games to get Oddball

It took me 28 games to get an Oddball match in Quickplay. If I wasn’t a dirty little quitter that would’ve been an insane amount of time. This is insane. Please add a way to select game modes.

After the second game that isn’t a specific gamemode I swap the challenge. No reason to waste my time

For a chance at another equally as frustrating challenge… not highly motivated. I’ve already swapped this challenge 3 times from equally frustrating challenges. Not about to waste a chunk of swaps on a singular challenge.

Haha I just got a challenge for win two oddball games and another for killing a player holding the ball. That seems more like a seasonal challenge than a weekly considering how little oddball is in the rotation.

This has been my conspiracy theory for months. They put challenges like this in the game to encourage you to buy challenge swaps.
As I have also said for months this challenge system is buns. They should have it like cod where it adds after match XP to a battlepass and the challenges help you finish quicker.

Was not that bad for me more like 8 games later, but it is annoying when there is a game specific challenge and it takes more than 3 games to get to the game you need, plus what if you do not complete the challenge like Win a Capture the flag game I have. The solution is simple, and it is not getting rid of those challenges, but if you go into quickplay you see a games list that shows all the games and maps in quickplay. All 343 needs to do is allow us to edit that list to just check the game modes we want to play. 343 can even make it where you must have at least 2 game modes to cycle through.

I like this. It woukd be great for both fun and for challenges. I like rotating through game types! But I can’t sinply play the one I want. Why do we have two game types that have their own playlist + Quick Play anyway?

Play ranked for objective modes.

I would almost consider it a bug or oversight if I didn’t know better. it all seems just to encourage buying challenge swaps.

You know something the rest of us don’t?

Congrats…
I must be thankful when I want to actually play I play with friends.

Its to encourage challenge swap purchases,

people might say, “Uh, no you’re being too cynical.”
Like, are you you telling me the developers at 343i are so incompetent that they didn’t to the basic math to figure out basic time frames for the challenges they designed?

No, absolutely not.
These horrifically bad challenges are there by design.

They want you to become so frustrated that you’ll spend money to bypass it.

Its literally predatory mobile game monetization put into a AAA Shooter,
It’s Candy crush frustration by design.
You either spend money, or tons of time; otherwise progression is completely locked off.
